TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION 257 AND PARAGRAPH 1 OF SCHEDULE 14

PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY (KP1) HARPOLE

DIVERSION ORDER 2026

The above Order, made on 8 September 2026 under section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. The effect of the Order will be to divert part of public bridleway KP1 Harpole from a line commencing at NGR SP 69742 62181 (indicated as point 1 on the Order Map) at its junction with the carriageway highway known as Roman Road and proceeding for a distance of approximately 67.54 metres in a generally westerly direction to NGR SP 69681 62204 (indicated as point 6 on the Order Map); then proceeding for a distance of approximately 85.42 metres in a generally north-easterly direction to NGR SP 69709 62284 (indicated as point 7 on the Order Map); then proceeding for a distance of approximately 38.26 metres in a generally westerly direction to NGR SP 69676 62302 (as indicated as point 9 on the Order Map); then proceeding for a distance of 22.26 metres in a generally north westerly direction to NGR SP 69671 62323 (indicated as point 11 of the Order Map); then proceeding for a distance of 83.44 metres in a generally north westerly direction to NGR SP 69697 62403 (indicated as point 13 on the Order Map); then proceeding for a distance of 40.13 metres in a generally north easterly direction to NGR SP 69701 62443 (indicated as point 15 on the Order Map; then proceeding for a distance of 62.11 metres in a generally north easterly direction (indicated as point 18 on the Order Map); then proceeding for a distance of 116.41 metres in a generally north easterly direction to NGR SP 69809 62582 (indicated as point 19 on the Order Map); then proceeding for a distance of 40.3 metres in a generally north easterly direction to NGR SP 69841 62607 (indicated as point 21 on the Order Map); then proceeding for a distance of 59.32 metres in a generally north easterly direction to NGR SP 69897 62625 (indicated as point 22 on the Order Map); then proceeding for a distance of 16.41 metres in a generally north easterly direction to NGR SP 69913 62627 (indicated as point 23 on the Order Map); then proceeding for a distance of 78.72 metres in a generally easterly direction to NGR SP 69992 62628 (indicated as point 24 on the Order Map); then proceeding for a distance of 16.37 metres in a generally north easterly direction to NGR SP 70008 62630 (indicated as point 25 on the Order Map); then proceeding for a distance of 23.08 metres in a generally north easterly direction to NGR SP 70028 62641 (indicated as point 27 on the Order Map) and having a width of 4 metres with a bound Hoggin surface whilst the route is within the residential development (as indicated between point 1 and 7 on the Order Map) and then having a width of 5.5 metres and with a grass surface through the public open space (as indicated between points 7 and 27 on the Order Map).

Any additional representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Service Director for Planning, West Northamptonshire Council, The Forum, Moat Lane, Towcester NN12 6AD, email Planning@westnorthants.gov.uk not later than 29 October 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, West Northamptonshire Council may itself confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
