HYSBYSIR drwy hyn fod Cyngor Dinas Casnewydd, wrth arfer ei bwerau o dan Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd), yn bwriadu, o fewn 7 diwrnod o ddyddiad yr hysbysiad hwn wneud gorchymyn a’i effaith fydd gwahardd unrhyw gerbyd rhag symud ar hyd Heather Road, Casnewydd o’i gyffordd â Caerleon Road, Casnewydd am oddeutu hanner can metr. Mae’r llwybr amgen ar hyd Hurbert Road, St Julians Avenue a Caerleon Road, Casnewydd. Y rheswm dros wneud y gorchymyn yw gwaith ar y brif bibell nwy. Bydd y gorchymyn yn weithredol o 24 Hydref 2026 a bydd yn parhau mewn grym am gyfnod o 18 mis neu hyd nes y bydd y gwaith wedi’i gwblhau, os yw’n gynharach. Hyd disgwyliedig y gwaith yw 8 diwrnod. NEWPORT CITY COUNCIL (HEATHER ROAD, NEWPORT) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that Newport City Council in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intends not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Heather Road, Newport from its junction with Caerleon Road, Newport for approximately fifty metres. The alternative route is via Hurbert Road, St Julians Avenue and Caerleon Road, Newport. The reason for making the order is due to gas main works. The proposed order will be operative from 24th October 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months or until works have been completed, if earlier. The anticipated duration of the works is 8 days. Pedestrian access will be available at all times and emergency access will be made quickly available.
