Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:
i) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:
ALBURY WALK, ALBURY WALK FOOTPATH – A) Albury Walk from its junction with Buckland Rise to its junction with Kingswood Close and B) Albury Walk footpath between 18 and 20 Amderley Drive from its junction with Kingswood Close for 24m northwards to facilitate duct installation works between 09:30 and 15:30 from 12th to 14th October 2026 (may continue until 25th November 2026). Alternative route is via: Buckland Rise, Amderley Drive, Kingswood Close Footpath in Front of 21 To Amderley Drive, Kingswood Close and vice versa. The works promoter is BT.
UNTHANK ROAD from A) its junction with Mile End Road for 30m north-eastwards and B) its junction with Mile End Road for 30m south-westwards to facilitate electrical link box replacement works from 13th to 16th October 2026 (may continue until 27th November 2026). Alternative route is via:
A) Unthank Road, Cleveland Road, Chapel Field Road, St Stephens Road, Newmarket Road, Mile End Road and vice versa. B) Northbound – Unthank Road, Newmarket Road, Mile End Road. Southbound – Mile End Road, Newmarket Road, Eaton Street, Bluebell Road, Bluebell Road to Newmarket Road Slip Road, Newmarket Road and Unthank Road. The works promoter is UK Power Networks.
ii) THEY HAVE MADE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:
GRANT STREET – from its junction with Speke Street for 40m southwards to facilitate pipe repair works from 08:00 on 7th October to 18:00 on 8th October 2026 (may continue until 19th November 2026). Alternative route is via: Speke Street, Hotblack Road, Dereham Road and vice versa. The works promoter is Cadent.
SEABROOK COURT FOOTPATH NORTH OF 6 TO SOUTH OF 14 – from 33m southwest of its joining with Kerville Street for 15m westwards to facilitate meter exchange works on 6th October 2026 (may continue until 17th November 2026). Alternative route is via: Seabrook Court Footpath North of 6 to South of 14, Seabrook Court Footpath South of 20 to North Of 33, Kerville Street and vice versa. The works promoter is Anglian Water.
Unless otherwise stated, the effect of these Orders will be to prohibit the use by traffic of the named road(s)/footpath(s). In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance. Where an Order is for a reason other than works it is because of the likelihood of danger to the public or of serious damage to the road/footpath.
Anticipated dates are stated but the Orders may continue until the end date where necessary or required. The Orders are revoked on the end date or on the actual date of removal of the prohibition/restriction where earlier without further notice. If necessary, the restrictions can have a maximum duration of 18 months or 6 months in respect of footpaths, cycle tracks, bridleways, restricted byways, and byways open to all traffic (BOAT), but may also be extended further by the Secretary of State.
Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.
