Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has approved the continuing in force of the Order made by Norfolk County Council under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 prohibiting the use by vehicles and pedestrians of U22118 Watery Lane from its junction with Candlestick Lane for a distance of 715 metres westwards (“the Road”), in the Parish of Grimston, for the further period set out below, owing to public safety concerns and to protect the Road from further damage and erosion. The promoter of this restriction/closure is Norfolk County Council.
Date of original restriction: 8th May 2025.
Previous restriction period: 8th May 2025 to 8th November 2026.
Period of extension: 9th November 2026 to 8th May 2027, or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
Alternative route is via: Watery Lane, Fen Lane, Ashwicken Road, Chapel Road, Vong Lane, B1153 Gayton Road.
Persons who contravene the Order will be liable, on conviction, to a fine.
