ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C443 IPSWICH ROAD, STOWMARKET
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C443 Ipswich Road, Stowmarket from no. 46 to no. 48 to facilitate manhole cover repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Ipswich Road, Hollingsworth Road, the A1308, Needham Road, Ipswich Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on the 15/10/2026 from 10am - 3pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4442 BROCKLEY CRESCENT, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4442 Brockley Crescent, Ipswich from Bennett Road for 15 metres north westbound to facilitate electrical pole replacement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Bennett Road, Henniker Road, Coral Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 06/10/2026 - 09/10/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4463 WHITEHOUSE ROAD IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U4463 Whitehouse Road, Ipswich from Lovetofts Drive for 130 metres eastbound to facilitate telecoms maintenance. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Whitehouse Road, Norwich Road, Bury Road, Goddard Road East, Whitehouse Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 7pm on 15/10/2026 - 5.30am on 16/10/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U5921 WALSHAM ROAD, WATTISFIELD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U5921 Walsham Road, Wattisfield from no. 14 for 250 metres southbound to facilitate replacing overhead cables and poles. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Walsham Road, Wattisfield Road, The Street, Summer Road, the A143, Walsham Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 06/10/2026 from 10am - 4pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C601 WILDE STREET AND THE COMMON, BECK ROW
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:
- the C601 Wilde Street, Beck Row from the junction with Widmere Lane to the junction with Girling Way
- C601 Wilde Street, Beck Row from the junction with Wildmere Lane to Peterfen Drove
- the C601 The Common, Beck Row from the junction with Peterfen Drove for 1200 metres northbound.
This is to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
- Wilde Street, The Common, Undley Road, the B1112, Eriswell Road, the A1101, Holmsley Green and vice versa.
2 & 3. The Common, Undley Road, the B1112, Eriswell Road, the A1101, Holmsley Green, Wilde Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from:
- 15/10/2026 - 20/10/2026
- 21/10/2026 - 24/10/2026
- 25/10/2026 - 28/10/2026.
If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C232 Cransford Road, Sweffling from Hall Cottage for 50 metres northbound to facilitate replacing a telegraph pole. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Cransford Road, Road from B1119 to C230/C231/C233, Bruisyard Road, West Farm Road, Framlingham Road, Cransford Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 15/10/2026 - 16/10/2026 from 9am - 5pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE C744 BURTON END, HAVERHILL
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C744 Burton End, Haverhill to facilitate patching works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be the A1017, Helions Bumpstead Road, Coppy Hill, Wiggens Green, Haverhill Road, Helions Bumpstead, Mill Road, Church Hill, Drapers Green Park Lane, High Street, Haverhill Road, Castle Camps, Haverhill Road, Shudy Camps and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 15/10/2026 - 16/10/2026 from 8am - 4pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

NOTICE OF PROPOSED RAISED TABLE ROAD HUMP ON ROAD, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council proposes to construct (2) raised table road humps on Tower Ramparts Road, Ipswich. The raised table road humps will be located east of Peel Street. They will be placed across the full width of the road.
A map showing the location of the proposed raised table, and the Council’s reasons for this proposal may be seen with advanced notice at Ipswich County Library, Northgate Street, Ipswich IP1 3DE during Monday: 9am - 6pm, Tuesday: 9am - 7pm, Wednesday: 9am - 6pm, Thursday: 9am - 6pm, Friday: 9am - 7pm Saturday: 8.30am - 5pm Sunday: 10am - 4pm excluding Bank Holidays and Public Holidays.
