COLUMBIA ROAD, BOURNEMOUTH – ROAD CLOSURE

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council intends to make temporary traffic regulations, with the effects detailed below, to control traffic.

WHAT: Road closed to all vehicles and no parking – no waiting at any time and no loading/unloading at any time

WHERE: Columbia Road from the property boundary of Nos. 81/83 to the property boundary of Nos. 91/93

WHY: This is to facilitate utility connection works by Dorset Drainage Services

WHEN: Anticipated dates: 08:00 until 17:00 daily from 24th October 2026 until 1st November 2026

ACCESS: Full emergency services access will be maintained, access to properties will remain depending on site safety

DIVERSION: Via Columbia Road, Ensbury Avenue, Slades Farm Road, Columbia Road and vice versa

These arrangements may be amended/extended should works overrun or weather conditions delay operations. Restrictions may be in effect under this Order for up to 18 months, and could be further extended with the approval of the Secretary of State.
