Notice is hereby given that Vale of Leven Wind Farm Limited (company number 12093939) with its registered office at 22-24 King Street, Maidenhead, SL6 1EF has applied to the Scottish Ministers for consent under Section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 to construct and operate a wind farm known as Vale of Leven Wind Farm. The Proposed Development comprises up to 10 turbines and will have a generation capacity in excess of 50MW.
The Site is located approximately 2 km north-east of Bonhill, within the Kilpatrick Hills area of West Dunbartonshire, and is located wholly within the local authority area of West Dunbartonshire Council. An Environmental Impact Assessment Report ("EIAR") has been produced to accompany the application for consent
Vale of Leven Wind Farm Limited has also applied for a Direction under Section 57(2) of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 that planning permission for the development be deemed to be granted.
Vale of Leven Wind Farm Limited has now submitted Additional Information ("AI") to the Scottish Ministers. The AI is in the form of a technical note detailing offsite compensatory planting and biodiversity enhancement.
The AI and all other related information is available for public inspection, free of charge on the DPEA website at www.dpea.scotland.gov.uk under reference WIN-160-1.
Copies of the AI may be obtained from Vale of Leven Wind Farm Limited by email to info@valeoflevenwindfarm.com or in writing to Suite 2.3, 106 Hope Street, Glasgow, G2 6PH at a charge of £385 per hard copy (plus postage charges). Copies of the AI can also be inspected free of charge at West Dunbartonshrie Council, 16 Church Street, Dumbarton, G82 1QL.
Any representations in relation to the AI may be submitted in writing, quoting the reference WIN- 160-1 to Adrian Philips, Planning and Environmental Appeals Division, Ground Floor, Hadrian House, Callendar Business Park, Falkirk, FK1 1XR or by email to Adrian.Philips@gov.scot.
Written or emailed representations should be dated, clearly stating the name (in block capitals), full return email and postal address of those making representations. Only comments on the AI will be accepted and all previous representations made in respect of the application shall continue to be taken into consideration.
All representations should be received not later than 6th November although Scottish Ministers may consider representations received after this date.
Except where Regulation 20(6) applies, any subsequent Additional Information which is submitted by or on behalf of Vale of Leven Wind Farm Limited will be subject to further public notice in this manner, and representations on such information will be accepted as per this notice
All previous representations received in relation to application documents submitted regarding the proposed development remain valid. Following examination of the environmental information, the Scottish Ministers will determine the application for consent in two ways:
• Consent the proposal, with or without conditions attached; or
• Reject the proposal
