What is happening?

THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

BUDE ROAD/WAWNE ROAD/HOLWELL ROAD ROUNDABOUT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along, Bude Road/Wawne Road/Holwell Road Roundabout Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during Roundabout improvement works.

The alternative route for vehicles to be signed.

Access will not be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will come into effect at 7:00am on 5th October 2026 to 00:00midnight on 11th October 2026 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed in a period of approximately five days.

CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE A AND A1 AMENDED
(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council on the made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The Order will come into operation on the 12th day of October 2026.

The purpose of the proposed Order is the amendment of the existing Zone A and A1, to improve parking management within the Zone and to prevent all-day parking and ensuring that existing maximum stay restrictions operate as intended (three hours waiting, no return within four hours, 8.00am to 6.30pm on all days). 

The proposals also introduce minor amendments to parking and traffic management arrangements, including the provision of taxi and loading bays and associated restrictions. The overall parking provision within the area will remain substantially unchanged.

A copy of the Order and relevant map may be examined during normal office hours at the Reception and Enquiries Office, The Guildhall, Kingston upon Hull, HU1 2AA reference FO/39800-1536.

If you wish to question the validity of this Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the, apply to the High court for this purpose.
