SOUTH TYNESIDE COUNCIL (MILTON STREET, SOUTH SHIELDS) ORDER 2026
South Tyneside Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the Order will be to: REVOKE No Waiting Mon-Sat 8am to 6pm on Milton St both sides from its junction with Dean Rd northwards to its junction with north back Dean Rd. INTRODUCE Limited Waiting 20mins no return within 2 hrs at any time on any day on Milton St west side from a point 4m north of its junction with Dean Rd northwards for 16m. INTRODUCE No Waiting At Any Time and No Loading/Unloading At Any Time on Milton St east side from its junction with Dean Rd northwards to its junction with north back Dean Rd and No Waiting at Any Time on Milton St west side from its junction with Dean Rd northwards for 4m and from its junction with north back Dean Rd southwards for 4m. Full details of these proposals are contained in the draft order which, together with a plan showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday during
the hours of 10am and 2pm at the Town Hall at the address below. Alternatively you may request a copy of the documentation by emailing

If you wish to raise an objection, express support or make any other observations about these proposals, you must make them in writing to the Council’s Legal Services Department at the address below or by email to the address above by 27 October 2026. Any objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
