THE MIDLOTHIAN COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION ON WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING ETC) (VARIATION NO 21) ORDER 2026 - TO/R5.3.201

Midlothian Council on 28 September 2026 made the above Order, which comes into force on 19 October 2026. The Order converts two existing general limited stay parking bays at High Street (Fountain Green) in Loanhead for use only for vehicles displaying a ‘Blue Badge’.

Details may be examined from 28 September to 9 November 2026 at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk, at Libraries or from david.chambers@midlothian. gov.uk.

Anyone wishing to question the validity of this Order or of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of such Act or of any relevant regulation has not been complied with, may within six weeks from 28 September 2026 apply for this purpose to the Court of Session.  

THE MIDLOTHIAN COUNCIL (PARKING PLACES FOR DISABLED MOTORISTS) (VARIATION NO _) ORDER 202_ - TO/R5.3.207

The Council proposes to make a new Order to add further enforceable ‘Disabled’ parking bays to the Order which lists all such bays in Midlothian. 

Details may be examined from 1 to 23 October 2026 at Libraries, at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk or from rebecca.marr@midlothian.gov.uk.

Anyone wishing to object to the proposed Order should send details of the grounds of their objection in writing, quoting reference TO/R5.3.207 and naming the location concerned, to: The Legal Services Manager, Midlothian Council, Fairfield House, 8 Lothian Street, Dalkeith, Midlothian EH22 3AA, or to legal@midlothian.gov.uk, to arrive not later than 23 October 2026.

Dalkeith: Easter Langside Crescent, Eskview Grove, Glebe Street, Mitchell Street, Normandy Court, Robert Burns Mews, Salters Road, St Andrew Street. Danderhall: Edmonstone Terrace. Gorebridge: Barleyknowe Lane, Birkenside, Burnside Road, Carlowrie Place, Dewarton, Gore Avenue, Hunterfield Terrace. Loanhead: Dryden Avenue, Harnes Court, Hunter Terrace, The Loan. Mayfield/ Easthouses: Bonnet Drive, Cherry Lane, Conifer Road, Crawlees Crescent, Dougall Road, Hughes Crescent, Kippielaw Park, Larch Crescent, Maryburn Road, Oak Crescent, Steele Avenue, Westhouses Avenue. Penicuik: Carlops Avenue, Chisholm Terrace, Cowan Court, Pentland Way, Eastfield Farm Road, John Street, Philip Place, Silurian Court, Windsor Drive. Rosewell: Victoria Street. Roslin: Merricks Court.
