HYSBYSIR DRWY HYN bod CYNGOR SIR FYNWY, Neuadd y Sir, y Rhadyr, Brynbuga, NP15 1GA ("y Cyngor") yn Bwriadu gwneud Gorchymyn yn unol â'r pwerau a roddwyd gan Adran 14(1)(a) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984:  

1. Daw’r Gorchymyn i rym ar 20fed Hydref 2026 a bydd yn parhau i fod mewn grym am gyfnod nad yw'n hwy na 18 mis neu nes bod y gwaith y cynigir ei wneud wedi'i gwblhau, pa un bynnag yw'r cynharaf. Disgwylir i'r gwaith gael ei gwblhau ar 20fed Hydref 2026, gan weithio rhwng 08:00 ac 18:00.  

2. Mae'r Gorchymyn yn angenrheidiol gan y bydd y briffordd yn cael ei lleihau i un lôn gyda goleuadau traffig dros dro yn cael eu defnyddio i ganiatáu gwaith gosod polion gan MJ Quinn yn ddiogel yn y lleoliad.        

3. Effaith y Gorchymyn fydd lleihau'r terfyn cyflymder dros dro ar ran o'r B4235 Nant Mounton i Gas-gwent, Mynyddbach, Sir Fynwy.  

Gostyngiad yn y terfyn cyflymder gan ddechrau tua 0.90km i'r dwyrain o'i gyffordd â Heol Llys Iddon am tua 330m.

4. Gellir enwi'r Gorchymyn hwn fel Gorchymyn Rheoleiddio Traffig Dros Dro B4235 Nant Mounton i Gas-gwent, Mynyddbach, Sir Fynwy 2026.  

5. Yn sgil Adran 16(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffordd 1984 bydd person sy'n torri cyfyngiad neu waharddiad a osodir dan Adran 14 y Ddeddf yn euog o drosedd.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION NOTICE
SECTION 14 - ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984  

MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(B4235 MOUNTON BROOK TO CHEPSTOW, MYNYDDBACH, MONMOUTHSHIRE) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION NOTICE 2026  

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that MONMOUTHSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
of County Hall, The Rhadyr, Usk, NP15 1GA (“the Council”) Intends to make an order pursuant to the powers conferred by Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984  

1.  The Order shall come into operation on the 20th October 2026 and will continue to be in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be completed on the 20th October 2026, operating between 08:00 – 18:00.  

2.   The order is necessary as the highway will be reduced to a single lane with the use controlled temporary traffic signals to allow for MJ Quinn poling works to take place safely at the location.  

3.  The effect of the order will be to temporarily reduce the speed limit on a section of B4235 Mounton Brook to Chepstow, Mynyddbach, Monmouthshire.  

    A reduction of the speed limit from 60mph to 40mph. Speed limit reduction starting ~0.90km east from its junction with Itton Court Road ~330m    

4.  This order may be cited as the B4235 Mounton Brook to Chepstow, Mynyddbach, Monmouthshire Speed Limit Reduction Temporary Traffic Regulation Order 2026  

5.  By virtue of Section 16(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 a person who contravenes a restriction or prohibition imposed under Section 14 of the Act shall be guilty of an offence.
