What is happening?

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL

ASTON ROAD AND PLOUGH LANE, QUEENSFERRY

PROPOSED PROHIBITION OF WAITING AT ANY TIME

Flintshire County Council propose to make an Order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, Part IV of Schedule 9 and all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to amend The Flintshire County Council (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement and Consolidation) Order 2013, so as to:-

  1. Introduce ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restrictions:-

    a. At the junction of Aston Road with Plough Lane, Queensferry (Asda side).

    b. At the junction of Aston Road with Plough Lane, Queensferry (The Plough Inn pub side).

    c. At the junction of Plough Lane with the A494 slip roads, Queensferry.

In all other respects the present provisions of the ‘The Flintshire County Council (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading and Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement and Consolidation) Order 2013’ will remain in force.

A copy of the Notice, the proposed Order, plans showing the roads affected by the proposal and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected during normal opening hours at Flintshire Connects, Wepre Drive, Connah’s Quay CH5 4HA. The documents will also be available to be viewed on our website at www.flintshire.gov.uk > Resident > Roads, Streets and Travel > Traffic Regulation Orders or you can request a copy of the documents by emailing transportstrategyconsultation@flintshire.gov.uk or by calling 01352701234.

Objections to the proposed Order, together with the grounds on which they are made, should be sent in writing to the undersigned by Friday 23rd October 2026 or by emailing transportstrategyconsultation@flintshire.gov.uk quoting reference SS/TRO/JB/78.

  5. On the south easterly side of the B5441 Mold Road, Queensferry.

(b) Goods Vehicle Loading Only Bays:-

  1. On the north easterly side of Chester Road East, Queensferry, opposite the rear door to KFC.

  2. On the south easterly side of the B5441 Station Road, Queensferry, outside numbers 8 and 10.
