Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council in exercise of its powers under 16 A-C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, has made the above Orders to facilitate the St Helena Hospice Half Marathon.
Effect of the orders: To temporarily close the following roads, Harwich in the District of Tendring (route of Marathon):

| Marine Parade | From its junction with Lower marine parade to its junction with Orwell Road |
| Barrack Lane | From its junction with Main Road to its junction with Harbour Crescent. |
| Harbour Crescent | From its junction with Barrack Lane to its junction with Main Road |
| Main Road | From its junction with Harbour Crescent to its junction with West Street |
| West Street | From its junction with Main Road, to its junction with The Quay. |
| The Quay | From its junction with West Street to its junction with Kings Quay Street |
| Kings Quay Street | From its junction with The Quay to its junction with Wellington Road |
| Wellington Road | From its junction with Kings Quay Street to Outpart Eastward. |
| Outpart Eastward | From its junction with Wellington Road to its junction with Angelgate |
| Angelgate | From its junction with Outpart Eastward to the Sailing Club, then south down the sea front. |
| Wick Lane | From its junction with Lower Marine Parade to its junction with Low Road |
| Low Road | From its junction with Wick Lane to its junction with Gravel Hill Way |
| Gravel Hill Way | From its junction with Low Road to its junction with Abbott Road |
| Abbott Road | From its junction with Gravel Hill Way to its junction with Low Road |
Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
The Orders will come into effect on 04 October 2026 and may continue in force for 3 days (in relation to the restrictions on the route of the Marathon) unless extended by the Secretary of State.
