NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using that length of Chequers Lane, Abbots Langley from its junction with High Elms Lane north eastwards to its junction with East Lane, a distance of approximately 50m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via Chequers Lane, Woodside Road, Horseshoe Lane, A405 St Albans Road and Chequers Lane or via Chequers Lane, A405 (North Orbital Road/St Albans Road), Horseshoe Lane, Woodside Road and Chequers Lane.
ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 19 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 7 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cycles from using the following lengths of cycle lane ("the Cycle Lanes"):-
1. the cycle lane situated on the south east side of A5135 Elstree Way, Borehamwood from its junction with Maxwell Road south westwards to its junction with the B5378 Shenley Road/Brook Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 116m. Pedal Cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footway.
2. the cycle lane situated on the south east side of the Brook Road/B5378 Shenley Road roundabout, Borehamwood from the westbound carriageway of A5135 Elstree Way clockwise to the southbound carriageway of B5378 Shenley Road, a distance of approximately 42m. Pedal Cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footway.
3. the cycle lane situated on the south east side of B5378 Shenley Road, Borehamwood from the Brook Road/A5135 Elstree Way roundabout south westwards to its junction with the Eldon Avenue roundabout, a distance of approximately 120m. Pedal Cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footway.
4. the cycle lane situated on the north west side of B5378 Shenley Road, Borehamwood from its junction with the Eldon Avenue roundabout north eastwards to the westbound carriageway of Brook Road, a distance of approximately 127m. Pedal Cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footway.
5. the cycle lane situated on the north west side of the B5378 Shenley Road/A5135 Elstree Way roundabout, Borehamwood from its junction with the westbound carriageway of Brook Road north eastwards to the eastbound carriageway of Brook Road, a distance of approximately 13m. Pedal Cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footway.
6. the cycle lane situated on the north east side of the Brook Road/A5135 Elstree Way roundabout, Borehamwood from the north eastbound carriageway of B5378 Shenley Road south eastwards to the southwest carriageway of B5378 Shenley Road, a distance of approximately 12m. Pedal Cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footway.
7. the cycle lane situated on the north west side of the B5378 Shenley Road/A5135 Elstree Way roundabout, Borehamwood from the eastbound carriageway of Brook Road north eastwards to the north eastbound carriageway of B5378 Shenley Road, a distance of approximately 24m. Pedal Cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footway.
8. the cycle lane situated on the south east side of B5378 Shenley Road, Borehamwood from a point 12m north west of the Brook Road/A5235 Elstree Way roundabout south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with the eastbound carriageway of A5183 Elstree Way, a distance of approximately 30m. Pedal Cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footway.
The Order is needed because the installation of EV charging cables is proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect from 19 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 week to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-
1. To prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footbridge ("the Footbridges"):-
a) the footbridge situated above A404 Chorleywood Road, Rickmansworth from a point 20m south west of its junction with Batchworth Public Footpath No.029 south westwards for a distance of approximately 45m.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
b) the footbridge situated above A412 Park Road, Rickmansworth from a point 24m south west of its junction with Rickmansworth Park south eastwards for a distance of approximately 26m.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. To prohibit all pedestrians from using Batchworth Public Footpath No.029 from a point 92m north west of its junction with Batchworth Public Footpath No.030 north westwards for a distance of approximately 18m ("the Public Footpath").

An alternative route will be via A41 (Otterspool Way/Elton Way/Tylers Way), A411 (Elstree Road/Sparrows Herne/High Street/London Road/Chalk Hill), A4008 (Aldenham Road/Pinner Road) and A411 (Lower High Street/Dalton Way/Waterfields Way) or via A411 (Waterfields Way/Lower High Street/Chalk Hill/London Road/High Street/Sparrows Herne/Elstree Road) and A41 Tylers Way/Elton Way/North Western Avenue).
2. the Colonial Way roundabout, Bushey from its westernmost junction with A4008 Stephenson Way clockwise for its entire length.

4. the A411 Beechen Grove link road, Watford from its junction with A411 Beechen Grove north eastwards to its junction with A4008 Stephenson Way, a distance of approximately 190m.

(RESTRICTION OF WAITING) ORDER 2026
ROAD HUMP NOTICE (PENN ROAD, WATFORD) 2026
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new waiting restrictions in parts of Watford as specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice.
It is also proposed under sections 90A - 90F of the Highways Act 1980 and in accordance with The Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999, to install a raised speed table in that length of Penn Road, Watford as specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice.

The raised speed table will be constructed and lie in accordance with The Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 at a height of approximately 70mm above the existing carriageway with on/off gradients of approximately 1:20.
