ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

BRIGHTON & HOVE VARIOUS CONTROLLED PARKING ZONES CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2024 AMENDMENT ORDER NO.13 2026 (REF: TRO-15-2026)

NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council (“the Council”) has on 30 September 2026 made the Order named above under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into operation on 5 October 2026 will introduce the following:

Surrenden Road (outside Varndean College)

• Amend parking, waiting, and loading restrictions to allow new buildouts

• Introduce no loading on both sides of the college access road

Surrenden Road (north of Surrenden Holt)

• Amend parking, waiting, and loading restrictions for new buildouts to improve pedestrian crossings

A copy of this Notice, the proposed Order, plans showing the lengths of road affected and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be seen online at www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/current-tros

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirements of the Act or of any instrument made under it have not been complied with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
