(e) so as to prevent pedestrian access to premises in or adjacent to the length of road specified in Article 2 above.
8. The Order will come into operation at 12.30am on Thursday 15th October 2026 and remain in force until 5am the same day.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
(DEVONSHIRE ROAD AND WILTON ROAD, SW19)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate gas mains replacement works in Devonshire Road, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road and in Wilton Road.
2. During the works, no person will:-
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in:-
(i) Devonshire Road, from the common boundary of Nos. 44 and 46 Devonshire Road to the common boundary of Nos. 48 and 50 Devonshire Road; or
(ii) Wilton Road, from the north-western kerb-line of Devonshire Road, north-westward for a distance of 20 metres;
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the roads or lengths of road specified in paragraph (a) above.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the roads or lengths of road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a)(i) and (ii) above will be suspended for the duration of the works.
4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via Cavendish Road, Norfolk Road, and Harewood Road or vice versa.
6. Nothing in the Order will apply to:-
(a) any person or vehicle engaged in the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, subject to site conditions; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited roads or lengths of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. The Order will come into operation on Monday 5 October 2026 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed within 2 weeks. However, the Order will remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the length of Devonshire Road specified in paragraph (a) above.
NB – 3 way lights will operate at the junction of Devonshire Road with Robinson Road.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of Devonshire Road specified in sub-paragraph 2(a) above will be suspended for the duration of the works.
4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via Robinson Road and Lyveden Road, or vice versa.

1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate gas mains replacement works in Cedars Avenue and Tamworth Lane they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said roads.
2. During the works, no person would cause or permit any vehicle to:-
(a) enter or proceed in:
(i) Cedars Avenue, from its junction with Tamworth Lane to the common boundary of Nos. 67 and 69 Cedars Avenue;
(ii) Tamworth Lane, from its junction with Crossways Road to the common boundary of Nos. 125 and 127 Tamworth Lane;
(b) wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in the roads or lengths of roads specified in paragraph 2(a) above.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the roads or lengths of road specified in paragraph 2(a) above would be suspended for the duration of the works.
4. The restrictions and suspensions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Vehicular traffic affected by the closure should proceed via Commonside East, Rowan Road, Meopham Road and Grove Road or vice-versa.
6. Nothing in the Order would apply:-
(a) to any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or
(d) so as to prevent vehicular access to premises in or adjacent to the roads or lengths of road specified in paragraph 2 above insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the works.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any waiting prohibition imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. The Order would come into operation on 24th October 2026 with the works anticipated to be completed by 1st November 2026. However, the Order would remain in force for 3 months should further works be required.

(BURLINGTON ROAD AND WEST BARNES LANE, KT3) (NO. 3)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
1. The London Borough of Merton Council hereby give notice that to facilitate rail works at the northernmost level crossing on West Barnes Lane, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the said road and prohibit waiting by vehicles in Burlington Road.
2. Whilst the works take place, no person would:-
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in West Barnes Lane, between the eastern kerb-line of Burlington Road and the western kerb-line of Linkway;
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purposes of loading or unloading, in:-
(i) the length of West Barnes Lane specified in sub-paragraph (a) above;
(ii) West Barnes Lane, both sides, between the northern building wall of No. 50 West Barnes Lane and its junction with Burlington Road;
(iii) Burlington Road, both sides, between its junction with West Barnes Lane and the Burlington Road Tesco supermarket exit;
(c) enter or proceed on foot in the length of West Barnes Lane specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.
3. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
4. Any vehicle in contravention of any waiting restrictions imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
