What is happening?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.  
ROADS TO BE CLOSED: Winchester Street between its junction with South Street and continuing to a point 50 metres South on Winchester Street. Westbrooke Close between its junction with South Street and continuing to the point of termination on Westbrooke Close.  
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: N/A. (Access remains)  
DURATION OF ORDER: from Monday 19th October 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner.  (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 17 days and this order will be in operation 24 hours a day, these closures will be carried out in two phases).  
The Temporary Road Closures has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for OCU Group to complete HV Network Upgrade. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: SSENStreetworks@ocugroup.com.
