Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cross Road, Clacton On Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Nicholls Way to its junction with Dresden Square a distance of approximately 30m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th October 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (KG031CE44975-1 – Cityfibre). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while blockage clearance works are undertaken by Cityfibre.
An alternative route is available via Nicholls Way, Grier Way, Legerton Drive, Dresden Square and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 8th October 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Kestrel Way, Clacton on Sea) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Kestrel Way, Clacton On Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Burns Road for a distance of approximately 150m in a north westerly, northerly then north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th October 2026 for 26 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC311007WH4FJK4G – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ducting works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Kestrel Way, Craigfield Avenue, Hillcrest, Burns Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 8th October 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Sneating Hall Lane, Kirby Le Soken) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Sneating Hall Lane, Kirby Le Soken in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Thorpe Road to its junction with Dale Hill a distance of approximately 1490m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th October 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2405639 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via B1034, B1336, B1033 and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 24th September 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, District of Tendring) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.16) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Tendring and City of Colchester as specified in the Schedule.
2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway on the above lengths of road, for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
"The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
"The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 8th October 2026 exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

The closures are scheduled to commence on 12th October 2026 for 33 days (works to be completed in phases), or where stated on a valid permit (MT053NEWPIERSTREET01 & MT053NEWGATESTREET01 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains renewal works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
