(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER (NO 283) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield by reason of works to allow for Network Rail to complete track works to be carried out on or near Footpath 1, Crofton at the level crossing adjacent to the railway workshops, and the likelihood of danger arising to the public, has made an Order the effect of which is that no person shall proceed in the length of public footpath.
Alternative route for pedestrians: via Hell Lane, Black Road, Doncaster Road & vice versa.
The order comes into operation on 4th October 2026 between 00.20 hours to 08.00 hours, open at all other times.
