Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TUNBRIDGE WELLS AREA

A26 Eridge Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN2 5PW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow highway repair and maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A26 Eridge Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 16th October 2026 for up to 5 nights or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Frant Road to County Boundary, near junction with Broadwater Down, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A26 Eridge Road, Bunny Lane, A267 Frant Road, A267 Nevill Street, A26 Eridge Road and vice versa.



A26 St Johns Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells (SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow hydrant replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily impose a cycle lane suspension on part of A26 St Johns Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 26th October 2026 for up to 2 nights or until the works have been completed.

The cycle lane will be suspended in the vicinity of the Army Reserve Centre, between the hours of 19:00 and 07:00 weekdays only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.



Bird In Hand Street, Groombridge (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow drainage cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bird In Hand Street, Groombridge, on or after 15th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from property number 6 to the junction with B2110 Groombridge Hill, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Groombridge Road, A264 Ashurst Road, B2110 Groombridge Hill and vice versa.



Church Road, Paddock Wood, TN12 6HH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow heavy jet and CCTV works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Road, Paddock Wood, on or after 14th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Mile Oak Road to in the vicinity of Rose Cottages, between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mile Oak Road, Mascalls Court Road, B2160 Maidstone Road, Station Road, Church Road and vice versa.



Colliers Green Road, Cranbrook (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow essential tree and vegetation trimming to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Colliers Green Road, Cranbrook, on or after 28th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the boundary of Nightingale Woods, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Colliers Green Road, A262 Goudhurst Road, A229 Wilsley Pound, A229 The Common, A229 Camden Hill, A229 Rocks Hill, A229 Knoxbridge, A229 Cranbrook Road, Pinnock Lane, Goudhurst Road, Folly Hill, Colliers Green Road and vice versa.



Mount Pleasant Avenue, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN1 2PL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow electric cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mount Pleasant Avenue, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 26th October 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed 50 metres back from Mount Pleasant Avenue to near number 62. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mount Pleasant Avenue, Mount Pleasant Road, Crescent Road and vice versa.



North Farm Road, High Brooms, TN2 3AS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water pipe works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of North Farm Road, High Brooms, on or after 12th October 2026 for up to 2 nights or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the former Auto Bavaria site, between the hours of 19:00 and 07:00 weekdays only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative routes for any through traffic are via:

Diversion 1 - North Farm Road, Dowding Way, Lamberts Road, Longfield Road, A21 Tonbridge Road, A21 Pembury Bypass, Pembury Slip Southbound Off, Pembury Slip Southbound On And Off, A264 Pembury Road, Sandrock Road, Lansdowne Road, Garden Road, Victoria Road, Goods Station Road, Grosvenor Road, Upper Grosvenor Road.

Diversion 2 - Upper Grosvenor Road, Meadow Road, Goods Station Road, Victoria Road, Garden Road, Lansdowne Road, Sandrock Road, A264 Pembury Road, Pembury Slip Northbound On and Off, Pembury Slip Northbound On, A21 Pembury Bypass, A21 Tonbridge Road, Longfield Road, Lamberts Road, Dowding Way, North Farm Road.



Ramslye Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN4 8LN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow new gas service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Ramslye Road, Royal Tunbridge Wells, on or after 28th October 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of St Marks CE Primary School. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Saunders Road, Waterdown Road, Nottidge Road and vice versa.



Taylor Street, Southborough, TN4 0DS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow chamber investigation and 3D scanning works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Taylor Street, Southborough, on or after 28th October 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from in the vicinity of property number 78 to the junction with Speldhurst Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Speldhurst Road, Edward Street, Holden Park Road, Taylor Street and vice versa.



Whitewell Lane, Cranbrook, TN17 2PS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow essential tree safety works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Whitewell Lane, Cranbrook, on or after 12th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with A262 Goudhurst Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Whitewell Lane, A229 Angley Road, A229 Wilsley Green, A262 Goudhurst Road and vice versa.



Yew Tree Green Road, Horsmonden, TN12 8HR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Yew Tree Green Road, Horsmonden, on or after 15th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Furnace Lane for a distance approximately 1450 metres to the junction with B2162 Maidstone Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 weekday only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2162 Maidstone Road, Churn Lane, Pearsons Green Road, Mile Oak Road, Pixot Hill, Crook Road, Yew Tree Green Road, Yew Tree Green Road and vice versa.
