Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA

Basted Mill, Basted, TN15 8LP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow drainage cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Basted Mill, Basted, on or after 13th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Mill Lane to the junction with Thong Lane, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mill Lane, Thong Lane and vice versa.



Deakin Leas, Tonbridge, TN9 2JF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow gas service alteration works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Deakin Leas, Tonbridge, on or after 26th October 2026 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 3. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A2014 Pembury Road, The Drive, Baltic Road, Deakin Leas and vice versa.



High Street, Aylesford, ME20 7UT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow for scaffolding to enable building repair works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of High Street, Aylesford, on or after 26th October 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed for a distance approximately 20 metres in the vicinity of the Chequers Pub. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative routes for any through traffic are via:

Diversion 1 - Forstal Road, A229 Running Horse Roundabout, A229 Chatham Road, A229 Cobtree Roundabout, A229 Blue Bell Hill, Kits Coty Slip Northbound Off, Rochester Road, Pilgrims Way, Bull Lane, High Street.

Diversion 2 - High Street, Bull Lane, Pilgrims Way, Rochester Road, Kits Coty Slip, Southbound On, A229 Blue Bell Hill, A229 Cobtree Roundabout, A229 Chatham Road, A229 Running Horse Roundabout, Forstal Road.



Hollow Lane, Snodland, ME6 5JL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow new electric connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hollow Lane, Snodland, on or after 26th October 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Corona Terrace to the junction with Tom Joyce Close. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hollow Lane, Malling Road, High Street, Birling Road, Hollow Lane and vice versa.



Kemsing Road, Wrotham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kemsing Road, Wrotham, on or after 28th October 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approximately 40 metres West of the pumping station. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Kemsing Road, Borough Green Road, A227 Borough Green Road, A227 Wrotham Road, A227 Western Road, A25 Sevenoaks Road, A25 Borough Green Road, A25 Ightham Bypass, Fen Pond Road, Kemsing Road and vice versa.



Kiln Barn Road, Ditton, ME20 6FJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow drainage cleansing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Kiln Barn Road, Ditton, on or after 15th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed either side of the railway bridge, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Kiln Barn Road, New Road, A20 London Road, New Road, High Street, The Rocks Road, Easterfields, Kiln Barn Road and vice versa.



Long Mill Lane, Crouch (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Long Mill Lane, Crouch, on or after 16th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with The Hurst to the junction with Crouch Lane, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Long Mill Lane, Crouch Lane, A25 Maidstone Road, Quarry Hill Road, Thong Lane, Crowhurst Lane, Sheet Hill, Yopps Green, Grange Hill, Dux Hill, Dux Lane, Long Mill Lane and vice versa.



Potash Lane & Boneashe Lane, St Mary’s Platt, TN15 8NW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Potash Lane & Boneashe Lane, St Mary’s Platt, on or after 26th October 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed as detailed below:

Potash Lane will be closed from in the vicinity of Shrublands to the junction with Boneashe Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 weekday only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Boneashe Lane will be closed from the junction with Potash Lane to in the vicinity of property named Pinelands, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 weekday only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Potash Lane, Long Mill Lane, Comp Lane, Boneashe Lane and vice versa.



Riding Lane, Hildenborough, TN11 9HZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow CCTV and jetting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Riding Lane, Hildenborough, on or after 13th October 2026 for up to 8 nights or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Riding Park to the junction with Hildenborough Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Riding Lane, B245 Tonbridge Road, B245 London Road, Dry Hill Park Road, A227 Shipbourne Road, A227 Tonbridge Road, Hildenborough Road and vice versa.



St Peters Close, Ditton, ME20 6PJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Peters Close, Ditton, on or after 12th October 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of property number 22. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic. Access will be maintained where it is safe to do so.



Station Road, Aylesford, ME20 7UT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow essential railway asset works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Station Road, Aylesford, on or after 1st November 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed 20 metres either side of the railway crossing on Station Road, between the hours of 01:30 on 1st November 2026 and 00:30 on 2nd November 2026 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bailey Bridge Road, Forstal Road, Beddow Way, Pratling Street, Rochester Road, Pilgrims Way, Rochester Road, New Court Road, Village Road, Peters Bridge Roundabout, Peters Bridge Road, A228 Holborough Road, A228 Holborough Roundabout, A228 Holborough Road, A228 Snodland By-pass, A228 Malling Road, A228 Castle Way, A228 Leybourne By Pass, A228 Ashton Way, A20 London Road, Hall Road, Station Road and vice versa.



Taylors Lane, Trottiscliffe, ME19 5DS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow new water service connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Taylors Lane, Trottiscliffe, on or after 26th October 2026 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the junction with Green Lane. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Vigo Hill, A227 Gravesend Road, A20 London Road, A20 Wrotham Heath Roundabout, A20 London Road, Ford Lane, Taylors Lane and vice versa.



Wateringbury Road, East Malling, ME19 6JE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow sewer connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wateringbury Road, East Malling, on or after 26th October 2026 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the vicinity of the private entrance to property number 259. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wateringbury Road, Chapel Street, High Street, New Road, A20 London Road, A228 Ashton Way, A228 Malling Road, A26 Tonbridge Road, Red Hill, Wateringbury Road and vice versa.



Woodlands Road, Ditton, ME20 7QG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow drainage improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Woodlands Road, Ditton, on or after 15th October 2026 for up to 9 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction with Birch Crescent to the junction with Brassey Drive. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Brassey Drive, Holtwood Avenue, Woodlands Road and vice versa.
