What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

MAIDSTONE & SWALE AREAS

Bicknor Lane, Bredgar & Bicknor (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER OCTOBER 2026

To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bicknor Lane, Bredgar & Bicknor from 28th October 2026 with estimated completion by 30th October 2026, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junctions with Deans Hill Road and Deans Bottom, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Deans Bottom, Kennel Barn Road, Church Lane, Bicknor Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
