NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that short length of Law Slack Road, Hade Edge at a point approximately 50 metres from its junction with Green Gate Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Law Slack Road, Penistone Road, Law Common Road.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 19 October 2026 and remain in force until 23 October 2026 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Yew Tree Road, Birchencliffe from its junction with Oaklands Crescent to its junction with Burn Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Kings Mill Lane, Huddersfield from its junction with Kings Bridge Road to its junction with Bent Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 19 October 2026 and remain in force until 21 October 2026 between 20:00 hours to 06:00 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(BURN ROAD, BIRCHENCLIFFE, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Burn Road, Birchencliffe from its junction with Woodlands Court to its junction with Forest Court PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Lamb Hall Road, Longwood from a point outside property no. 54 to a point outside property no. 31 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

(BIRKS LANE/DARK LANE, ALMONDBURY, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Almondbury:-
Birks Lane - from its junction with Dark Lane for approximately 40 metres in a northern and southern direction.
Dark Lane - from its junction with Birks Lane for approximately 40 metres westwards PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes:-
Birks Lane - via Arkenley Lane, St Helen’s Gate, Dark Lane;
Dark Lane - via St Helen’s Gate, Fenay Lane.
It is intended that the closure will operate on Tuesday, 6 October 2026 between 09:30 hours to 15:30 hours only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(YEW TREE LANE/COLD WELL LANE, HOLMBRIDGE, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Yew Tree Lane/Cold Well Lane, Holmbridge from a point adjacent to BT pole no. 9 on Yew Tree Lane to its junction with Carr Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Saddleworth Road, Barkisland from a point north of Rye Field Lane West to the northern end of M62 Scammonden Motorway Bridge PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Saddleworth Road, New Hey Road, Huddersfield Road, Ralphs Lane, Ripponden Road, Rough Hey Lane, Oldham Road, Elland Road, Ripponden Old Bank, Stainland Road, Rishworth Road and vice versa.
The closure which came into effect on Monday, 20 April 2026 has been extended to remain in force until 25 January 2027 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
