Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA

A20 Ashford Road, Sandling (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A20 Ashford Road, Sandling, on or after 30th October 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of A20 Stanford Intersection, between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A20 Stanford Intersection, A20 Ashford Road, A261 Hythe Road, A261 London Road, A259 Military Road, A259 Red Lion Square, A259 Rampart Road, A259 Prospect Road, A259 East Street Roundabout, A259 East Street, A259 Seabrook Road, A259 Sandgate Esplanade, A259 Sandgate High Street, A259 Sandgate Hill, A259 Sandgate Road, A259 Earls Avenue, A259 Shorncliffe Road, A259 Castle Hill Avenue, A259 Radnor Park Road, A2034 Cheriton Road, B2064 Cheriton Road, B2064 Cheriton High Street, B2064 Cheriton Approach, A20 Cheriton Interchange, A20 Ashford Road, A20 Sandling Road, and A20 Ashford Road.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via A20 Ashford Road, A20 Sandling Road, A20 Ashford Road, A20 Cheriton Interchange, B2064 Cheriton Approach, B2064 Cheriton High Street, B2064 Cheriton Road, A2034 Cheriton Road, A259 Radnor Park Road, A259 Castle Hill Avenue, A259 Shorncliffe Road, A259 Earls Avenue, A259 Sandgate Road, A259 Sandgate Hill, A259 Sandgate High Street, A259 Sandgate Esplanade, A259 Seabrook Road, A259 East Street, A259 East Street Roundabout, A259 Prospect Road, A259 Rampart Road, A259 Red Lion Square, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 Scanlons Bridge, A261 London Road, A261 Hythe Road, A20 Ashford Road and A20 Stanford Intersection.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Boyington Lane & Oak Hill, Swingfield (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Boyington Lane & Oak Hill, Swingfield, on or after 26th October 2026 for up to 129 days or until the works have been completed.

Closures will be imposed in 2 phases, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Phase 1 - Works will be carried out from 26th October 2026, with estimated completion by 3rd March 2027

Boyington Lane will be closed from the junction of Oak Hill to outside the telecommunications mast field.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Oak Hill and vice versa.

Phase 2 - Works will be carried out from 14th December 2026, with estimated completion by 16th December 2026

Oak Hill will be closed at the junction of Boyington Lane.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via A260 Canterbury Road, A260 The Street, A260 Canterbury Road, A260 Old Dover Road, A260 Box Iron Road, A2 Barham Slip Eastbound On, A2 Dover Road, Lydden Hill, Swanton Lane and Oak Hill.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Oak Hill, Swanton Lane, Lydden Hill, A2 Dover Road, A2 Barham Slip Westbound Off, A260 Canterbury Road, A260 The Street and A260 Canterbury Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Stone Street, Lympne, CT21 4LF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stone Street, Lympne, on or after 26th October 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Harman Avenue and Berwick Lane, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stone Street, A20 Ashford Road, B2067 Otterpool Lane, Aldington Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



White Horse Lane, Wingmore, CT4 6LR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of White Horse Lane, Wingmore, on or after 12th October 2026 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Whitehall Farmhouse, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Wills Lane, Newchurch (PROHIBITION OF

DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wills Lane, Newchurch, on or after 13th October 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Chestnuts, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wills Lane, Newchurch Road, From Newchurch To Junction With Newchurch Road Bilsington And Hony Wood Lane, Newchurch Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Wills Lane, Newchurch (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wills Lane, Newchurch, on or after 27th October 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Wills Farm, between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wills Lane, Newchurch Road, From Newchurch To Junction With Newchurch Road Bilsington And Hony Wood Lane, Newchurch Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
