Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DOVER AREA

A258 London Road, Deal, CT14 9PR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A258 London Road, Deal, on or after 26th October 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside numbers 346, 350, 352 & 381, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via A258 London Road, A258 Sandwich Road, A258 Deal Road, A256 Sandwich Road, A256 Eastry Bypass, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road, A256 Whitfield Bypass, A2 Dover Road Slip Eastbound on, A2 Between Junction With A256 And Duke Of Yorks Roundabout, A258 Deal Road, A258 Dover Road, A258 The Strand, A258 Victoria Road, A258 Ranelagh Road, A258 Prince Of Wales Terrace, A258 Beach Street, A258 Broad Street and A258 Queen Street.

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A258 The Strand, Walmer, on or after 12th October 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Canada Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via A258 Victoria Road, A258 Ranelagh Road, A258 Prince Of Wales Terrace, A258 Beach Street, A258 Broad Street, A258 Queen Street, A258 London Road, A258 Sandwich Road, A258 Deal Road, A256 Sandwich Road, A256 Eastry Bypass, A256 Whitfield By pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road, A256 Whitfield Bypass, A2 Dover Road Slip Eastbound On, A2 Between Junction With A256 And Duke Of Yorks Roundabout, A258 Deal Road, A258 Dover Road and A258 The Strand.

Alkham Road, Temple Ewell, CT16 3AE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Alkham Road, Temple Ewell, on or after 27th October 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of London Road and Lower Road, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via Alkham Road, Alkham Valley Road, A260 Alkham Valley Road, A260 Canterbury Road, A259 Canterbury Road, A260 Hill Road Dual Carriageway, A260 Hill Road Roundabout, B2011 Dover Hill, B2011 New Dover Road, B2011 Folkestone Road, A256 York Street, A256 Priory Road, A256 High Street, A256 London Road, A256 Crabble Hill, A256 London Road and London Road.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via London Road, A256 London Road, A256 Crabble Hill, A256 Buckland Avenue, A256 Barton Road, A256 Frith Road, A256 Charlton Green, A256 Maison Dieu Road, Pencester Road, Biggin Street, Priory Street, A256 York Street, B2011 Folkestone Road, B2011 New Dover Road, B2011 Dover Hill, A260 Hill Road Roundabout, A260 Hill Road Dual Carriageway, A259 Canterbury Road, A260 Canterbury Road, A260 Alkham Valley Road, Alkham Valley Road and Alkham Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Cauldham Lane, Capel Le Ferne, CT18 7HN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cauldham Lane, Capel Le Ferne, on or after 26th October 2026 until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Capel Street to outside number 34, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cauldham Lane, Hurst Lane, Capel Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Enfield Road, Deal, CT14 6QA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Enfield Road, Deal, on or after 14th October 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 10, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Enfield Road, Sandown Road, Bridge Road, College Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Foxborough Hill, Woodnesborough, CT13 0NR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Foxborough Hill, Woodnesborough, on or after 12th October 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Tarkwa, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Foxborough Hill, Beacon Lane, Drainless Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Malvern Road, Dover, CT17 9QB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Malvern Road, Dover, on or after 26th October 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Boston House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2011 Folkestone Road, Belgrave Road, Clarendon Street, Malvern Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Mill Street, Temple Ewell, CT16 3DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Street, Temple Ewell, on or after 26th October 2026 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Brookside and High Street, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via High Street, London Road, Templar Road, Mill Street and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Oakside Road, Aylesham, CT3 3DN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow highway maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Oakside Road, Aylesham, on or after 15th October 2026 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Bevan Way and Vale View Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Hill Crescent, Bevan Way, Vale View Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



St Georges Road, Sandwich, CT13 9JX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Georges Road, Sandwich, on or after 26th October 2026 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 108 and number 17, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via St Georges Road, New Street, Cattle Market, Harnet Street, Strand Street, High Street, The Quay, Knightrider Street, Sandown Road and St Georges Road.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via St Georges Road, Sandown Road, Knightrider Street, Upper Strand Street, High Street, The Chain, Galliard Street, New Street and St Georges Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



St Peters Street, Sandwich, CT13 9BL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of St Peters Street, Sandwich, on or after 26th October 2026 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of King Street for approximately 60m in a Northerly direction, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.



Various Roads, Dover (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN) TEMPORARY ORDER 2026

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Various Roads, Dover, on or after 1st November 2026 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

Restrictions will be imposed between the hours of 08:00 and 11:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Cherry Tree Avenue will be closed outside Kwik Fit.

A256 London Road will be closed on the Southeast carriageway only, from outside number 110 to the junction of Cherry Tree Avenue. A prohibition of right turn will be imposed turning right onto Cherry Tree Avenue.

A prohibition of right turn will be imposed on part of Coombe Valley Road turning right onto A256 London Road.

Access to Cherry Tree Avenue from Buckland Terrace will be maintained via A256 London Road, A256 Buckland Avenue and Cherry Tree Avenue.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A256 London Road, A256 Buckland Avenue and Cherry Tree Avenue.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
