NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet have made on 1st October 2026 the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 32, 35 and 49 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

In order to improve the parking provision on street in the Watling Avenue shopping parade area for disabled blue badge holders, the general effect of the above Orders will be to introduce two disabled parking bays for use by motorists in their vehicles who display a valid disabled blue badge outside Nos.55 to 57 Watling Avenue HA8 and outside Nos.52 to 54 Watling Avenue HA8 (By converting lengths of Pay by phone payment parking bays operating 8:30am to 6pm Monday to Saturday with a maximum stay 1 hour 30 minutes).

Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on Monday 5th October 2026 and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Orders can be obtained, for a period of 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing parking.consultations@barnet.gov.uk or by writing to the Design Team, Highways Section, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or any regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
