Temporary Closure of Marsh Road, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along MARSH ROAD, WEYMOUTH between its junctions with Chickerell Road and Weston Road, a distance of approximately 45 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 9 October 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 16 November 2026.
This Order will enable Connect It Utility Services on behalf of Scottish & Southern Power Distribution to facilitate traffic management during reinforcement project.
An alternative route will be signed using: Chickerell Road - A354 - Newstead Road - Marsh Road.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of Dorset has made the above-mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.
When the Order comes into operation on 2 October 2026 the effect of the Order will be to revoke a number of disabled parking bays at locations in Dorchester, Ferndown, Portland, Sherborne and Weymouth.

Temporary Traffic Management Order of Various Roads, Portland
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended.
The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 5 October 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 16 October 2026.
Works will be carried out between 0900 and 1600.
This Order will enable Eurovia on behalf of Dorset Council to carry out surfacing works.
The effect of this Order will be:
[1] To impose temporary road closure on Greenways for its entirety, including the garage access road
[2] To impose temporary road closure on Shortlands for its entirety.
[3] To impose temporary road closure on Hamcroft for its entirety.
[4] To impose temporary road closure on Montrose Close for its entirety.
[5] To impose temporary clearway on Greenways for its entirety, including the garage access road to prevent vehicles from stopping except those associated with the works.
[6] To impose temporary clearway on Shortlands for its entirety to prevent vehicles from stopping except those associated with the works.
[7] To impose temporary clearway on Hamcroft for its entirety to prevent vehicles from stopping except those associated with the works.
[8] To impose temporary clearway on Montrose Close for its entirety to prevent vehicles from stopping except those associated with the works.
[9] To impose temporary clearway on Weston Road for its entirety to prevent vehicles from stopping except those associated with the works.
Please note that any vehicle waiting in contravention of temporary parking restrictions may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. If a vehicle has been removed, the owner must contact the Council’s vehicle recovery contractor: Ashleywood Recovery Ltd/Bride Valley Recovery Ltd on 01305 889421. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Parking Suspension of Marsh Road, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended.
The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 9 October 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 16 November 2026.

Temporary Traffic Management Order of Various Roads, Weymouth – Night Works
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 19 October 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 28 October 2026.
This Order will enable Dorset Council, safe access to carry out essential highway maintenance works.
The effect of this Order will be;
[1] To impose temporary road closure on all approaches to Wessex Stadium roundabout.
[2] To impose temporary road closure on Radipole Lane between its junctions with Wessex Stadium roundabout and Cumberland Drive.
[3] To impose temporary clearway on all approaches to Wessex Stadium roundabout.
[4] To impose temporary clearway on Radipole Lane between its junctions with Wessex Stadium roundabout and Cumberland Drive.
A locally signed diversion will be in place.

Temporary Closures of Dorchester Road, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. It will come into operation on 19 October 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 19 March 2027.
This Order will enable Scotia Gas Networks, safe access to carry out gas mains replacement.
The works will be carried out in two phases:
Phase 1 - Full road closure between its junctions with Milton Terrace and Monmouth Avenue - 19 October – Christmas.
Phase 2 - One way road closure (northbound) between its junctions with Monmouth Avenue and Icen Road - 4 January - 19 March 2027.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; B3155 - A353 - A354 - B3159.

Temporary Closure of School Lane, Bradford Peverell
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along SCHOOL LANE, BRADFORD PEVERELL, between its junction with the A37 and the railway bridge, a distance of approximately 145 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 19 October 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 27 November 2026.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out highway improvement works to the footway and carriageway, surfacing and re-lining.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
