(THORESBY AVENUE, KIRBY IN ASHFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING AND WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING) ORDER 2026 (A26-184A)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Kirkby in Ashfield in the District of Ashfield
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
Thoresby Avenue, Kirkby in Ashfield - From its junction with Diamond Avenue for a distance of 150 metres in a north easterly direction
2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road
Thoresby Avenue, Kirkby in Ashfield - From its junction with Diamond Avenue for a distance of 150 metres in a north easterly direction
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From Sunday 4th October 2026.
Until Friday 16th October 2026
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
Diamond Avenue - Clumber Street - Abbey Road and vice versa
This Order will come into force on Sunday 4th October 2026 and continues the restrictions introduced by the 5-day notice A26-184 which came into force on Tuesday 29th September 2026 for a maximum of 5 days.
The Prohibition is required due to the likelihood of danger to the public due to excavations.
