What is happening?

Manchester City Council proposes to make Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the titles and effects of which are as follows:

CITY OF MANCHESTER (CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE) (MANCHESTER CITY CENTRE) (NO.1) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2013 (AMENDMENT NO.6) ORDER 2026

NO WAITING AT ANY TIME:
Deansgate, (i) north side from 45.5m east of Chester Road north easterly for 29.5m, (ii) north side from Chester Road easterly for 20m.

NO LOADING AT ANY TIME:
Deansgate, north side from Chester Road easterly for 20m.

DISABLED PERSON’S PARKING PLACE:
Deansgate, north side from 20m east of Chester Road in an easterly direction for 7m, width of 2.7m.

GOODS VEHICLE LOADING/UNLOADING PARKING PLACE:
Deansgate, north side from 33m east of Chester Road easterly for 12.5m, width of 2.7m.

CITY OF MANCHESTER (CAR CLUB PARKING PLACES) (MANCHESTER CITY CENTRE) ORDER 2006 (AMENDMENT NO.8) ORDER 2026

CAR CLUB PARKING PLACE: Deansgate, north side from 27m east of Chester Road easterly for 6m, width of 2m. Existing Orders shall be amended so as to be consistent with the proposals. Copies of the proposed Orders, the Orders it is proposed to amend, a Statement of Reasons, and a plan showing the proposals can be requested by emailing phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or examined in person by appointment at the Customer Service Centre, Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension, M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) Monday to Friday 9am to 4.30pm. Objections to the proposals must be sent in writing to phlegal@manchester.gov.uk or to the address below, stating the grounds on which they are made, no later than 30th March 2026.
