Temporary Closure of Various Roads, West Milton
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along VARIOUS ROADS, WEST MILTON; C44, between its junction with Ridgeback Lane and a point approximately 415 metres east. RIDGEBACK LANE, between the entrance to Marlpitts Farm and Lancombes Cross, a distance of approximately 65 metres. RUSCOMBE LANE, between its junction with C44 and a point approximately 470 metres north east.
The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 6 October 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 30 October 2026.
This Order will enable Wessex Internet to carry out fibre cable installation and splicing.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Closure of Colway Lane, Lyme Regis
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along COLWAY LANE, LYME REGIS between its junction with Windsor Terrace and the entrance to Camellia House, a distance of approximately 260 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 5 October 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 16 October 2026.
This Order will enable South West Water, safe access to carry out trial holes to locate existing service depths.
An alternative route will be signed using; B3165 - A3052.

Temporary Closure of Chancery Lane, Bridport
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders will be prohibited from proceeding along CHANCERY LANE, BRIDPORT between the entrance to Kitson & Trotman and Chancery House, a distance of approximately 35 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 19 October 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 30 October 2026.
This Order will enable DK Eastment, safe access to carry out a water mains connection.
There will be a signed diversion in place.

All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along B3162, NORTH BOWOOD between its junction with Stoke Road and The Lodge, a distance of approximately 1320 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 19 October 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 06 November 2026.
This Order will enable Wessex Water, safe access to carry out a water main replacement.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; B3163 - A3066.
