ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE F0855 STOWMARKET ROAD

UNASSOCIATED FOOTWAY, NEEDHAM MARKET

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the F0855 Stowmarket Road Unassociated Footway, Needham Market from no. 51 to no. 55 to facilitate stop tap replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Ludd Brook Close, Hurstlea Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 12/10/2026 - 13/10/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U5442 Rectory Road, Mellis from Elmroyd for 160 metres north westbound to facilitate level crossing and track maintenance. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

There will be no diversion route.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 1am on 11/10/2026 - 5am on 12/10/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U1738 Common Lane, Beccles from 45 metres from the junction with Grove Road for 90 metres northbound to facilitate gas mains replacement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

There will be no diversion route but access and egress for residents.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 12/10/2026 - 23/10/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U4427 Waveney Road, Ipswich from Bramford Road for 30 metres northbound to facilitate the removal and installation of an electrical link box. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Bramford Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 12/10/2026 - 16/10/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

? A1071 Woodbridge Road, Ipswich from Brunswick Road roundabout to Cauldwell Avenue

? U3040 Khartoum Road, Ipswich from Woodbridge Road to no. 1 Khartoum Road.

This is to facilitate repairs to a manhole cover. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

? for Woodbridge Road:

? Westbound: Heath Road, Bixley Road, Felixstowe Road, Bishops Hill, Fore Hamlet, Salthouse Street, Key Street, Slade Street, Star Lane, Waterworks Street, Bond Street, St Helens Street, St Margarets Street, Woodbridge Road and no vice versa

? Eastbound: Argyle Street, Grimwade Street, Fore Street, Fore Hamlet, Bishops Hill, Felixstowe Road, Bixley Road, Heath Road and no vice versa.

For Khartoum Road: Hutland Road, Sidegate Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 13/10/2026 from 7pm - 11pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C676, The Hill, Poslingford from the junction with Gosland Green for 50 metres southbound to facilitate water mains work. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be The Hill, Clare Road, the B1063, the A143, Wickham Street Road, Plough Hill, Lower Street, Upper Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 12/10/2026 - 13/10/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C674 BOYTON END AND COTTON HALL LANE, THE U7228 CAINS HILL AND THE U7226 WAY BANK LANE, STOKE BY CLARE AND KEDINGTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

? C674 Boyton End, Stoke by Clare from Cains Hill to Cotton Hall Lane

? C674 Cotton Hall Lane, Kedington from Boyton End for 550 metres north westbound

? U7228 Cains Hill, Stoke by Clare from Boyton End for 30 metres eastbound

? U7226 Way Bank Lane, Stoke by Clare from Cotton Hall Lane for 30 metres northbound.

This is to facilitate a water main renewal. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1092, the A1017, the B1061, Kings Hill, Silver Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 12/10/2026 - 22/11/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE C495 LONDON ROAD FORMER A12, COPDOCK

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order for a temporary 30mph speed restriction on the C495 London Road Former A12, Copdock from 350 metres southwest of Copdock Primary School for 1210 metres south westbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

It is intended that this measure will operate from 12/10/2026 - 17/10/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

? Phase 1:

a) the C376 Main Road, Martlesham eastbound from the junction with the A12 to the junction with Felixstowe Road

b) the C376 Main Road, Martlesham from the junction with the A12 to the junction with Felixstowe Road

? Phase 2:

? the C372 Felixstowe Road, Martlesham from the junction with Main Road for 100 metres southbound.

This is to facilitate Highway improvements. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

? Phase 1:

a) Main Road, The Street, Top Street, the B1438, the A12 southbound and no vice versa

b) Main Road, The Street, Top Street, the B1438, the A12 and vice versa

? Phase 2:

? Felixstowe Road, Anson Road, the A12 northbound, Main Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from:

? Phase 1:

a) 12/10/2026 - 12/02/2027

b) 12/10/2026 - 26/02/2027 from 7pm - 6am

Phase 2:

? 15/02/2027 - 26/02/2027.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U4405 Blenheim Road, Ipswich at the junction with Norwich Road to facilitate supporting manhole cover works on Norwich Road. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Waterloo Road, Chevalier Street, Norwich Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 12/10/2026 from 7pm - 11pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3427 CHURCH ROAD, DALLINGHOO

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U3427 Church Road, Dallinghoo from Sextons Cottage to the junction with Pound Lane to facilitate the transfer of overhead telecommunication lines. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Pound Hill, Potash Farm Road, School Road, The Gull and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 13/10/2026 from 8am - 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNES WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE A137 WEST END ROAD, A1071 LONDON ROAD AND HANDFORD ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A137 West End Road, Ipswich from Handford Road to Chancery Road to facilitate the installation of road markings and signing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A1071, the A1022, Bridge Street, the A137 and vice versa.

For the duration of this closure there will also be a temporary suspension of the 7.5 tonnes weight restriction on the following roads:

? A1071 London Road, Ipswich

? A1071 Handford Road, Ipswich.

It is intended that these measures will operate from 12/10/2026 - 15/10/2026 from 8pm - 5am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U3334 Church Lane, Westerfield from 210 metres east of the junction with Westerfield Road for 20 metres eastbound to facilitate stop tap replacements. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Westerfield Road, the A1214, Tuddenham Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 12/10/2026 - 14/10/2026 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1078 LOWER ROAD, ASHBOCKING ROAD, HEMINGSTONE AND HARE AND HOUNDS CORNER, ASHBOCKING AND HEMINGSTONE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

? the B1078 Lower Road, Ashbocking from Rectory Lane to Ashbocking Road

? the B1078 Ashbocking Road, Hemingstone

? the B1078 Hemingstone Road, Ashbocking

? the B1078 Hare and Hounds Corner, Hemingstone.

This is to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

? the B1078, the B1077, the A1120, the A140, the B1078 and vice versa

? HGV clockwise only: Rectory Hill, Sandy Hill and no vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 12/10/2026 - 17/10/2026 from 7pm - 5am with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1106 Westley Road, Fornham All Saints and the B1106 Marham Parkway, Fornham All Saints to facilitate refreshing road markings. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1106, the A1101, the A143, the A1302 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 12/10/2026 - 26/10/2026 from 7pm - 5am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
