MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s) The City of Manchester (Wilmslow Road, Fallowfield Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit traffic on Wilmslow Road from its junction with Wilbraham Road to its junction with Ladybarn Road and on Sherwood Street and Boland Drive to facilitate resurfacing works following cyclops junction upgrade. These works will take place on 3 separate Sundays. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Signed locally. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate resurfacing works following cyclops junction upgrade. These works will take place on 3 separate Sundays. The duration of the works that have been in progress from 27th September 2026 has lengthened and therefore the Order will continue to 11th October 2026. The order came into operation on the 27th September 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
