What is happening?

the property known as “The Lodge”. Alternative Route: Lawbrook Lane, Mill Hollow, Hound House Road, and Hook Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate telecom pole replacement works for, or on behalf of Morrison Telecom Services Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 October 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

Almners Road (D3005) Chertsey Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the Almners Road (D3005) Chertsey as extends from its junction with (D3003) Ruxbury Road to its junction with the access to the property No.09 Almners Road. Alternative Route: Ruxbury Road, St Anns Road, (A320) Chilsey Green Road, (A320) Pyrcroft Road, (A320) Bell Bridge Roundabout, (A320) Bell Bridge Road, (A320) Guildford Road, (B386) Holloway Hill, Hardwick Lane, and Almners Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of Cadent Gas. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 15 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 26 October 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclist will be maintained at all times, all other vehicular traffic, including emergency service vehicles will be required to follow the signed diversion route.

Green Street (C230) Sunbury On Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Green Street (C230) Sunbury On Thames as extends from its junction at its roundabout with (A308) Staines Road East and (A308) Staines Road West to its junction with (D6243) Bridge Foot; (b) Suspend the 7.5 tonne weight restriction for heavy commercial vehicles in Nursery Road (D6247) Sunbury On Thames imposed by “The Spelthorne Borough Council (Lower Sunbury) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles) Order 1987” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in this Notice. Alternative Route; (A309) Staines Road East, (A309) Staines Road West, (A244) Windmill Road, Nursery Road, and Green Street, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate the removal of hazardous trees for, or on behalf of Centurion Traffic Management. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 27 October 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.

A3100 London Road, A25 Parkway and A25 Boxgrove Road, Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of: -

1. A3100 London Road (North), Guildford that extends from the northeastern arm of the roundabout junction of A3100 London Road, A25 Parkway and A25 Boxgrove Road, Guildford “the Boxgrove Roundabout”, to the southern side of its junction with D4012 Abbotswood.

2. A25 Boxgrove Road, Guildford that extends from the south-eastern arm of “the Boxgrove Roundabout”, to the northern side of its junction with D4008 Tormead Road.

3. A3100 London Road (South), Guildford that extends from the southern arm of “the Boxgrove Roundabout”, to the northern side of its junction with Elgin Gardens.

4. A25 Parkway, Guildford that extends from the western arm of “the Boxgrove Roundabout” to its junction with A320 Woking Road.

5. A3100 London Road, Guildford that is comprised within “the Boxgrove Roundabout”.

This Temporary Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out installations and/or highway improvements and/ or surfacing and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 6am, in phases within 10 months of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 October 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained under direction of operatives on site. Access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times to the point of works via the alternative routes described below: -

1. A3100 London Road (North): – From the northern end of closure – continue on the A3100 London Road northbound, turn left at the roundabout onto the A3100 Clay Lane westbound, turn right at the traffic signalised junction onto the A3 slip-road, continue eastbound on the A3, exit the A3 onto the B2215 London Road northbound, turn right at the roundabout onto the A247 Clandon Road, continue onto the A247 The Street southbound, turn right at the traffic signalised junction onto the A25 Epsom Road westbound, continue onto the A246 Epsom Road westbound, turn right at the roundabout onto the A3100 London Road northbound, continue until the southern end of the closure. From the southern end of the closure – continue past the A3100 London Road (north) arm of Boxgrove Roundabout, take the second exit onto the A3100 London Road southbound, turn left onto the A246 Epsom Road eastbound, continue onto the A25 Epsom Road eastbound, turn left at the traffic signalised junction onto the A247 The Street northbound, continue onto the A247 Clandon Road northbound, turn right onto the A247 Ripley by-pass, continue onto the A3 slip road, continue onto the A3 westbound, exit the A3 onto the A3100 London Road southbound, continue until the northern end of the road closure.

2. A25 Boxgrove Road: – From the southern end of closure – continue southbound on the A25 Boxgrove Road, turn right at the traffic signalised junction onto the A246 Epsom Road westbound, turn right at the mini-roundabout onto the A3100 London Road northbound, continue until the northern end of the proposed temporary road closure/Boxgrove Roundabout. From the northern end of the closure – continue past the A25 Boxgrove Road arm of Boxgrove Roundabout, take the following exit onto the A3100 London Road southbound, turn left at the mini-roundabout onto the A246 Epsom Road eastbound, turn left at the traffic signalised junction onto the A25 Boxgrove Road northbound, continue until the southern end of the closure.

3. A3100 London Road (south): – From the southern end of the closure – continue southbound on the A3100 London Road (south), turn right at the traffic signalised junction onto the A246 York Road westbound, turn right at the roundabout onto the A322 Woodbridge Road northbound, turn right at the traffic signalised junction onto the A25 Ladymead eastbound, continue onto the A25 Parkway eastbound, continue until the northern end of the proposed temporary road closure/Boxgrove Roundabout. From the northern end of the closure – continue past the A3100 London Road arm of Boxgrove Roundabout, take the following exit onto the A25 Parkway westbound, continue onto the A25 Ladymead westbound, turn left at the traffic signalised junction onto the A322 Woodbridge Road southbound, turn left at the roundabout onto the A246 York Road eastbound, turn left at the traffic signalised junction onto the A3100 London Road (south) northbound, continue until the southern end of the closure.

4. A25 Parkway: – From the western end of the road closure – continue onto the A25 Ladymead westbound, turn left at the traffic signalised junction onto the A322 Woodbridge Road southbound, turn left at the roundabout onto the A246 York Road eastbound, turn left at the traffic signalised junction onto the A3100 London Road (south) northbound, continue until the eastern end of the closure. From the eastern end of the closure – continue past the A25 Parkway arm of Boxgrove Roundabout, take the third exit onto the A3100 London Road southbound, turn right at the traffic signalised junction onto the A246 York Road westbound, turn right at the roundabout onto the A322 Woodbridge Road northbound, turn right at the traffic signalised junction onto the A25 Ladymead eastbound until the western end of the road closure.

5. A3100 London Road – as described for Part 1. and/or Part 2. and/ or Part 3. and/or Part 4. above.

D4015 Castle Hill, Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2026

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D4015 Castle Hill, Guildford. 2. Suspend the “Surrey County Council Castle Hill (D4015) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026” in its entirety. This Traffic Order is required to enable Thames Water and/ or Talboys Utilities to carry out water mains repair and/or maintenance and/or connection works in the length of D4015 Castle Hill, Guildford that extends between the north-western property boundary of “No.10 The Coach House” and the south-eastern property boundary of “No.7 The Clifton House”. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within 1 day of the 6 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 26 October 2026. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- Clockwise – Castle Hill, Warwicks Bench, Warwicks Bench Road, Echo Pit Road, Pilgrims Way, Shalford Road, Millbrook, Onslow Street, Park Street, Onslow Street, Millbrook, High Street and Quarry Street. Anti-clockwise – Castle Hill, Quarry Street, Shalford Road, Pilgrims Way, Echo Pit Road, Warwicks Bench Road, Warwicks Bench and Castle Hill.

Public Footpath 354 (Ash) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2026

On 1 October 2026 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath 354 (Ash) from point grid ref: 489455 151269 to point grid ref: 489429 151248.

The Order is necessary in the interest of public safety due to Network Rail engineering works.

The closure will be in operation for a period of 6 months from 2 October 2026 or completion of the works – extendable by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.

The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.

The alternative route for traffic from point grid ref: 489455 151269 is to head north on Public Footpath 354 (Ash) for 133 metres to College Road. Then head west for 163 metres over the footbridge onto Winchester Road. Then head South on Winchester Road/Exeter Road for 320 metres. Then head east on Murrell Road for 50 metres. Then head north on Public Footpath 354 (Ash) for 141 metres to grid ref: 489429 151248. The alternative route involves steps.

Public Bridleway 382 (Cranleigh)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2018
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1)&(2)

The Surrey County Council Public Bridleway 382 (Cranleigh) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2018 was made to protect public safety due to works being carried out on and adjacent to the path. The Order came into operation on 1 April 2018.

It was due to expire on 1 October 2018. It was continued in force annually by the Secretary of State for Transport until 1 October 2026.
It has now been extended again by the Secretary of State for Transport until 28 February 2027 or until the completion of the works, whichever is earlier.

The Order as continued will have the effect of prohibiting all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along the section of Public Bridleway 382 (Cranleigh) from its junction with Public Footpath 384 (Cranleigh) at grid ref: 506800 135789 and running in a south-easterly and then south-south-easterly direction for approximately 700 metres to grid ref: 507303 135322 at the junction with Public Footpath 385 (Cranleigh).

The prohibition described above will only be operative while the County Council, or an authorised person acting on its behalf, displays signs prohibiting the said movements.

The alternative route from the northern end is to turn and proceed in a northerly direction along Public Bridleway 382 (Cranleigh) for 118 metres to join Public Bridleway 566, then turn to follow Public Bridleway 566 in a south-south-easterly direction for 788 metres, then turn in a south-westerly direction to follow Public Footpath 385 for approximately 40 metres to re-join Public Bridleway 382 Cranleigh. The alternative route from the southern end is the reverse of the above.
