Derby City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.
TEMPORARY ONE WAY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON BOULTON LANE, DERBY
WHEN: 12 October 2026 to 11 November 2026 WHERE: Boulton Lane, one-way inbound closure at its junction with Harvey Road. REASON: Alvaston shopping area Major reconstruction works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Harvey Road – Matthew Street – Brackens Lane – Boulton Lane.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON BROMLEY STREET, DERBY
WHEN: 18 October 2026 to 18 October 2026 WHERE: Bromley Street, 5 metres either side of No 4. REASON: Replace Telecom pole ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Bromley Street – Park Grove – Wheeldon Avenue – Kedleston Road – Bromley Street (and the same in the opposite direction).

REASON: Railway bridge inspection works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Goodsmoor Road – Stenson Road – Grampian Way – Sinfin Lane – Wordsworth Avenue – Goodsmoor Road (and the same in the opposite direction).

REASON: Carriageway resurfacing ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: For Raynesway (Southbound): Derby Road – Spondon Roundabout – A52 Westbound – Pride Park – Derwent Parade – Royal Way – Pride Parkway – London Road – Raynesway For Raynesway Loop: A52 Eastbound – Spondon Roundabout – A52 Westbound – Pride Park – Derwent Parade – Royal Way – Pride Parkway – London Road – Raynesway.
