What is happening?

THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BRENT
The Brent (Prescribed Routes) (No. 5) - Traffic Order 2026

1. Notice Is Hereby Given that THE COUNCIL OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BRENT on 28th September 2026 made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of and Part I of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985, the Parking Acts of 1986 and 1989 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.

2. The general effect of the ‘Prescribed Routes’ Order will be to introduce a westbound and northbound one-way working, with advisory contra-flow cycling, in the entire length of Strode Road.

3. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 5th October 2026, of maps of the relevant areas and of the above-mentioned Order (and of any Orders which have amended that Order) can be requested via email during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made at: trafficorders@brent.gov.uk.

4. Any person desiring to question the validity of any of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to any of the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
