ASHFORD AREA

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council proposes to make the above named Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3, 4, 19, 65(1), 124 and of Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) as amended and all other enabling powers, and having regard to Section 122 of the Act and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby propose to make the following order:-

The effect of the Order would be to prohibit all vehicles from entry except Buses on the following length of road in Sevington, Ashford:-

AVOCET WAY – Extend the existing bus gate from a point 293 metres northeast from its junction with Damara Way by 150 metres in a northeasterly direction.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 51, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposed to make the following Order:-

The effect of the made Order will be to introduce waiting restrictions (DYL means double yellow lines “no waiting at any time” restrictions) on the following length of roads in Kingsnorth, Ashford:-

DAMARA WAY – DYL – On the northwest side from a point 15 metres southeast of the northern boundary of 37 Damara Way for a distance of 15 metres in a northeasterly direction.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

NOTICE is hereby given that the Kent County Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of this order would be to reduce the limit from national and to extend the current 30MPH on the following road in Bethersden, Ashford:-

MILL ROAD – From its junction with Pluckley Road for a distance of 157 metres in a south westerly direction to join the existing 30mph limit.

Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL hereby propose to make the above named Order under sections under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act:

The effect of the order will be to extend the existing 20MPH zones on the following lengths of roads in St Stephens Hill, Canterbury and Tower Parade Whitstable:

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter called “the Act”), and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following Order:-

The effect of the named Order will introduce double yellow lines (DYL) on the following lengths of roads in Dartford:-

WILLIAM MUNDY WAY – On both sides from the junction with Victoria Road and Mill Pond Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of the River Darent.

The Order was made on 8 October 2026 and its provisions will come into effect on 9 October 2026.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the Local Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 44, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (‘the Act’) the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby make the following order:-

The effect of the named Order will be to place an Authorised Vehicles Only Bay on the following length of road in Folkestone, Folkestone and Hythe:-

MIDDELBURG SQUARE – On the island between its junction with Bouverie Road West and Cheriton Place.

The Order was made on 8 October 2026 and its provisions will come into effect on 9 October 2026.

(AMENDMENT No.6) ORDER 2026
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The KENT COUNTY COUNCIL, acting as the Local Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following order.

The effect of the proposed Order will be to remove and implement no waiting at any time double yellow lines (DYL) waiting restrictions and amend parking bay restrictions from limited waiting for 1 hour to 30 minutes on the following length of road in Crockenhill, Sevenoaks:-

BROADWAY – DYL – (1) On its west side 12 metres south of its entrance to the hall remove DYLs for a distance of 3 metres in a southerly direction. (2) On its east side 10 metres north of its junction with Main Road for a distance of 30 metres in a northerly direction change from 1 hour time limited bays to 30 mins time limited bays. CHURCH ROAD – DYL – On its east side on both sides of its junction with Newports for a distance of 11 metres in a northerly direction and 8 metres in a southerly direction. CRAY ROAD – DYL – On its south side 7 metres west of its junction with Old Chapel Road extend the existing DYLs for a distance of 9 metres in a westerly direction. DALTONS ROAD – DYL – On its east side 36 metres south of its junction with Tylers Green Road remove DYLs for a distance of 6 metres in a southerly direction. GREEN COURT ROAD – DYL - On its west side 182 metres north of its junction with Broadway extend the existing DYLs for a distance of 73 metres in a northerly direction. NEWPORTS – DYL – On both sides from its junction with Church Road for a distance of 16 metres in an easterly direction. OLD CHAPEL ROAD – DYL - On its west side 6 metres south of its junction with Cray Road extend the existing DYLs for a distance of 4 metres in a southerly direction.
