THE LEICESTER (20 M.P.H. SPEED LIMIT) (COLUMBINE ROAD AREA) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Leicester City Council has made an Order under Sections 84(1) and 84 (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of this Order is to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour along the lengths of road as set out below:
Cloverdale Road - Whole Length
Columbine Road - From Sandhills Drive in a south easterly direction for 570m.
Harebell Close - Whole Length
Holly Bank Close - Whole Length
Larkspur Close - Whole Length
Mallow Close - Whole Length
Oakridge Close - Whole Length
Orpine Road - Whole Length
Speedwell Drive - Whole Length
Trillium Close - Whole Length
No speed limit imposed by this Order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.
A COPY of the Order, the relevant plan, and the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order may be seen by calling 0116 454 1001 or 0116 454 4866 and requesting paper copies to be sent out via post.
This order will come into force on Monday 5th October 2026.
