(Temporary Closing Of Lye Lane, Bricket Wood) - Order No.2 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Lye Lane, Bricket Wood from its junction with A405 North Orbital Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 40m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: A405 North Orbital Road, Mount Pleasant, West Riding and Lye Lane.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 22 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 4 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Church Road, Little Berkhamsted) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Church Road, Little Berkhamsted from its junction with Goddards Close south eastwards for a distance of approximately 140m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via: Church Road, Robins Nest Hill, B158 (Lower Hatfield Road/ unnamed road/Low Road/Essendon Hill/High Road/Cum Cum Hill/Kentish Lane), Woodfield Lane, Tylers Causeway and C54 (unnamed road).
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 21 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hyde Close, Harpenden from its junction with Westfield Road south eastwards and south westwards for its entire length ("the Road"), except for access.

NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Drovers Lane, Wheathampstead from its junction with B651 Wheathampstead Road south eastwards to its junction with the access road leading to ‘Nomansland Farm’, a distance of approximately 700m ("the Road"), except for access.

(Temporary Closing And Waiting Restrictions On Little Cutts Road, Harpenden) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Little Cutts Road, Harpenden from its junction with B652 Bower Heath Lane north westwards and south westwards for its entire length ("the Road"), except for access.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
Additionally, all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 19 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Various Roads In Harpenden, East Hyde, Wheathampstead And St Albans) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-
1. That length of B653 Lower Luton Road, Harpenden/East Hyde from its junction with B652 Bower Heath Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 1253m.
An alternative route will be via: B653 Lower Luton Road, B652 Station Road, A1081 (St Albans Road/High Street/Luton Road/London Road/New Airport Way) and B653 (Lower Harpenden Way/Lower Luton Way).
2. That length of Conquerors Hill, Wheathampstead from its junction with Marford Road south westwards to its junction with Caesars Road, a distance of approximately 231m.
An alternative route will be via: Marford Road, Dyke Lane and Caesars Road.
3. That length of Downedge, St Albans from its junction with Batchwood Drive south eastwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
4. That length of Downes Road, St Albans from its junction with The Ridgeway north westwards for its entire length.

5. That length of Packhorse Close, St Albans from its junction with The Ridgeway north eastwards for its entire length.

NOTICE is given that the HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce Clearway Orders in the County of Hertfordshire as specified in Schedule to this Notice.
Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may be viewed from 1 October 2026 during office hours, at: Main Reception, Farnham House, Stevenage, or online at: www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders, by looking at Ref: J00226.
