High Street, Winchester - Temporary Road Closure due to Water Connection Works

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – B3330 HIGH STREET, WINCHESTER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of High Street between the public house known as The Bishop on the Bridge and its junction with Eastgate Street roundabout.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: B3330, B3331, B3040, B3330, Durngate, Wales Street, Easton Lane, A272, A31, B3330.

DURATION OF ORDER: from 13th October 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 3 nights, working between the hours 19:00-06:00).

The road closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for The Clancy Group to carry out new water connections. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order or the associated works, please contact: enquiries@theclancygroup.co.uk

The Clancy Group will provide reasonable facilities to allow access to adjacent premises and provide notice to those directly affected while the work is being carried out.
