TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION 257
AND PARAGRAPH 1 OF SCHEDULE 14

DIVERSION ORDER 2026

The above order, made on 29 September 2026 under section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990. The effect of this order will be to divert that part of the public footpath LB5 commencing at Ordnance Survey grid reference (OSGR) TM21744145 commencing at point 1 on the Order map (NGR SP 70910 59770). It then travels 25.17m in a southeasterly direction to point 2 on the Order map (NGR SP 70927 59752). The route then travels through a staggered gate 10.59m in an easterly direction to point 3 on the Order map (NGR SP 70938 59750). It then travels 14.26m in an easterly direction to point 4 on the Order map (NGR SP 70994 59752) over a controlled crossing and then travels through a staggered gate for 16.03m in an easterly direction to point 5 on the Order map (NGR SP 71010 59751). It then travels in a south-easterly direction for 238.70m to point 6 on the Order map (NGR SP 71246 59714).

Following this it travels for 28.32m in a south-easterly direction to point 7 on the Order map (NGR SP 71271 59702). Following this it travels for 68.47m in a south-easterly direction to point 8 on the Order map (NGR SP 71312 59647). From point 8, it travels for 39.42m in a south-easterly direction to point 9 on the Order map (NGR SP 71341 59621). It then travels for 22.54m in an easterly direction to point 10 on the Order map (NGR SP 71362 59615). The route then travels for 29.43m in an easterly direction to point 11 on the Order map (NGR SP 71391 59616). It then travels for 12.79m to point 12 on the Order map (NGR SP 71403 59621) in a north-easterly direction. The route then travels 36.01m in a northeasterly direction to point 13 on the Order map (NGR SP 71437 59625). It then travels 98.57m in a south-easterly direction to point 14 on the Order map (NGR SP 71525 59584). Then it travels 22.71m in a southeasterly direction to point 15 on the Order map (NGR SP 71541 59568). Following this, it travels 112.93m in a southerly direction to point 16 on the Order map (NGR SP 71586 59465). From point 16, it travels 31.32m in a southerly direction to point 17 on the Order map (NGR SP 71604 59439). The route then travels 69.08m in a south-easterly direction to point 18 on the Order map (NGR SP 71654 59392). It then travels 61.83m in a southeasterly direction to point 19 on the Order map (NGR SP 71706 59360). Then it travels 27.78m in an easterly direction to point 20 on the Order map (NGR SP 71734 59362). Following this, it travels 34.78m in a northeasterly direction to point 21 on the Order map (NGR SP 71767 59371). From point 21, it travels 181.19m in an easterly direction to point 22 on the Order map (NGR SP 71948 59380). The route then travels 75.17m in a north-easterly direction to point 23 on the Order map (NGR SP 72022 59394). It then travels 68.49m in a north-easterly direction to point 24 on the Order map (NGR SP 72085 59420). Then it travels 20.83m in a

northerly direction to point 25 on the Order map (NGR SP 72096 59436).

Finally, the route travels 36.07m in a northerly direction to point 26 on the Order map (NGR SP 72092 59473) onto Upton Lane a public highway. The diverted route having a width of 3m with a tarmac surface throughout the route with the exception of between points 2 and 5 on the Order Map where the route comprises areas of block and tactile paving of varying widths as shown on the order map.

Any additional representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Service Director for Planning, West Northamptonshire Council, The Forum, Moat Lane, Towcester NN12 6AD, email Planning@westnorthants.gov.uk not later than 29 October 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, West Northamptonshire Council may itself confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
