What is happening?

OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS – CHERWELL DISTRICT) (MAP BASED) (PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND PERMITTED PARKING) (VARIATION NO.) ORDER 20*

NOTICE is given that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all enabling powers. The effect of the Order – for road safety reasons – is to introduce new ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ parking restrictions (Double Yellow Lines) in Bicester at the following locations:

  1. Bardwell Terrace (south side) – replacing the existing ‘No Waiting Mon-Sat 8am-6pm’ (Single Yellow Line) parking restrictions, for approx.50 metres adjacent to Nos.2-22,

  2. Bucknell Road (east side) – for approx.27 metres, covering either side of its junction with Graham Road,

  3. Graham Road (both sides) – for approx.17.5 metres from its junction with Bucknell Road on the northern side, and for approx.21 metres on the southern side.

The Oxfordshire County Council (Various Roads – Cherwell) (Map Based) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Permitted Parking) Order 2021 will be further amended, updating Map Tiles: CT78 & CV79 in the process.

Objections to the proposals and other representations specifying the grounds on which they are made may be sent in writing to the address below by the end of 30 October 2026. The Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public. TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984

Notice is hereby given that Oxfordshire County Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, intends to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order as detailed below:

Nature of Restriction: Road Closure

Location: Orchard Way, Bicester, Oxfordshire (32A & 32B)

Description of Works: new water connection Plots 1-2 2x25mm MDPE Domestic Metered Supplies in 2port manifold off 3” CI Offsite. CO: 7778387 7778388 New Build Houses. Connection in Orchard Avenue being carried out by Network Plus.

TTRO reference: 624

Duration: Starting on 23/11/2026

The anticipated completion date is 27/11/2026 (inclusive)

(Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders have a maximum duration of 18 months for roads, or 6 months for other public rights of way).

Access: Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and for properties within the closed section of road where reasonably practicable.

Suggested Alternative Route: Diversion via George Street, Leach Road, Blenheim Road and vice versa.
