NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hayward Close, Stevenage from its junction with Lonsdale Road eastwards for a distance of approximately 210m ("the Road").
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
Additionally, all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 21 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 7 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. That length of Tatlers Lane, Aston from its junction with Long Lane south westwards and north westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
2. That length of Station Way, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Spring Road north eastwards to its junction with Bridge Road, a distance of approximately 544m.
An alternative route will be via: Spring Road, Icknield Way and Bridge Road.
3. That length of Chapel Lane, Bendish from its junction with Law Hall Lane north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 376m.
An alternative route will be via: Law Hall Lane and C27 (unnamed road).
4. That length of 5U139 (unnamed road), Hexton from its junction with Mill Lane westwards, north westwards and northwards for a distance of approximately 230m.
An alternative route will be via: Mill Lane, B655 (Barton Road/Hexton Road/Luton Road/Bedford Road) Higham Road and 3U139 (unnamed road).
5. That length of 5U35 (unnamed road), Kings Walden from its junction with Lilley Bottom Road north eastwards and north westwards to its junction with Miserable Lane, a distance of approximately 805m.
An alternative route will be via: Lilley Bottom Road, Miserable Lane, 5U35 (unnamed road), Taylors Hill Road and Frogmore Bottom Road.
6. That length of Mill Lane, Gosmore from its junction with High Street north eastwards a distance of approximately 231m.
An alternative route will be via: High Street, Waterdell Lane, B656 London Road and Mill Lane.
7. That length of Temple Close/Charlton Road, Hitchin from its junction with the access road leading to ‘Armadeus House’ north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Hitchin Public Bridleway No.033, a distance of approximately 748m.
An alternative route will be via: Charlton Road, Chequers Lane, Hitchin Road, Preston Road, High Street, Hitchin Road, Brick Kiln Lane and Charlton Road.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect on 19 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

4. That length of Strathmore Avenue, Hitchin from its junction with Old Hale Way south eastwards to its junction with Whitehurst Avenue, a distance of approximately 265m.
An alternative route will be via: Old Hale Way, Bearton Road, Periwinkle Lane and Strathmore Avenue.
5. That length of Wilbury Close, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Wilbury Hills Road south eastwards for its entire length.

8. That length of Brampton Park Road, Hitchin from its junction with Balmoral Road north eastwards to its junction with Old Hale Way, a distance of approximately 296m.
An alternative route will be via: Balmoral Road and Old Hale Way.
9. That length of A505 Old Park Road, Hitchin from its junction with the A505 Upper Tilehouse Street/A602 Park Way roundabout north eastwards to its junction with A505 Bedford Road, a distance of approximately 383m.
An alternative route will be via: A602 Park Way, B656 (Hitchin Hill/Park Street/Queens Street/Walsworth Street) and A505 (Nightingale Road/Bunyan Road/Fishponds Road/Bedford Road).
10. That length of Desborough Road, Hitchin from its junction with Willian Road south eastwards, south westwards, north eastwards and south eastwards for its entire length.
