Gloucestershire - Multiple Temporary Closures Due To Various Works

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 401230 BACK LANE

(BISLEY WITH LYPIATT PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 401230 Back Lane, from its junction with Jayne’s Court to outside the property known as ‘Cockpit Cottage’ for a distance of approximately 80 metres. The reason for the closure is for works by Severn Trent Water.

The said road is expected to be closed from 08:00hrs on 7th October 2026 until 16:00hrs on 9th October 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS

(VARIOUS PARISHES) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule below.

SCHEDULE

The reason for the closures and restrictions is for carriageway patching works.

There will be no waiting and no loading permitted throughout the duration of the said works.

The said roads are expected to be closed, during various times, on a rolling programme commencing 19th October 2026 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures taking effect. This Order may permit the closures in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 30th November 2026.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE 41558 AND 501438 WHITEWAY TO WATERLEY BOTTOM

(NORTH NIBLEY PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 41558 and 501438 Whiteway Hill to Waterley Bottom from its junction with Millend Lane to its junction with Whiteway Hill for a distance of approximately 1500 metres. The reason for the closure is for ditch cleaning works.

The road is expected to be closed on 22nd October 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.
