TEMPORARY CLOSURE 400880 COLN ST DENNIS TO CALCOT FARM CALCOT

(COLN ST DENNIS PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 400880 Coln St Dennis to Calcot Farm Calcot from outside of the property known as ‘Annis’ to outside of the property known as ‘Higher Barn’ for a distance of approximately 14 metres.

The reason for the closure is for works by Thames Water.

The road is expected to be closed from 6th October 2026 until 8th October 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH BFA17 (FAIRFORD PARISH)

COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of Public Footpath BFA17 from a point approximately 52 metres north west of St Marys Drive and then extending in a generally easterly direction for approximately 200 metres to its junction with Hatherop Road.

The path falls within the Parish of Fairford in the Cotswold District, of the County of Gloucestershire.

The closure is necessary to protect the public whilst essential construction work for Water mains are carried out.

The Public Footpath was originally closed for 5 days by Notice which commenced on the 21st September 2026. The works are still ongoing, and it is therefore now necessary to make a closure Order.

The said Order shall come into operation on 26th September 2026 and authorises the closure of Public Footpaths BFA17 for up to six months from the date of the original Notice which was 21st September 2026. If the problem continues after this time, then it will be necessary to make an application to the Secretary of State for an extension.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS (VARIOUS PARISHES)

COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the lengths of road as detailed in the Schedule below.

SCHEDULE

The reason for the closures is for the installation of internet network works.

The said roads are expected to be closed, during various times, on a rolling programme commencing 19th October 2026, where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures taking effect. This Order may permit the closures in any order, or simultaneously as required. It is anticipated all works will be completed by 30th October 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C168 HORCOTT ROAD (FAIRFORD TOWN) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority intend to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C168 Horcott Road from its junction with Milton Street to outside of the property known as ‘Howzat’ for a distance of approximately 147 metres.

The reason for the closure is for Highway works.

The road is expected to be closed from 19th October 2026 to 23rd October 2026. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE C179 EWEN ROAD (SIDDINGTON PARISH) COTSWOLD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority intend to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C179 Ewen Road from outside of the premises known as ‘Sewerage Treatment Works’ to outside of the premises known as ‘Shorncote Quarry’ for a distance of approximately 314 metres.

The reason for the closure is for electrical pole replacement works.

The road is expected to be closed between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 on 22nd October 2026 only. However, if the said works are not completed by this date the Order may remain in force for up to eighteen months or until the said works have been completed, whichever is sooner.
