(CARSHALTON ROAD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Blackpool Borough Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers to carry out reconstruction and resurfacing of the carriageway. The effect of the Order will be to:
(a) Prohibit all vehicles from entering or proceeding in any direction along the length of Carshalton Road between its junction with Dickson Road and its junction with Sherbourne Road.
(b) No left or right turn onto Carshalton Road from its junction with Egerton Road.
(c) No left or right turn onto Carshalton Road from its junction with Boothroyden.
(d) No left or right turn onto Carshalton Road from its junctions with the unnamed alleyways on Carshalton Road located between its junction with Dickson Road and Sherbourne Road.
Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained wherever possible and will remain available to emergency vehicles at all times. All diversion routes will be clearly signed and maintained on site.
The proposed Order will commence on 19 October 2026 and continue in force for eighteen months or until the sooner completion of the aforesaid works. It is expected that the works will take 15 days.
