Coronation Terrace - Temporary Road Closure due to Construction Works
What is happening?
The County Council of Durham (Coronation Terrace, Coxhoe) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2026
The Council proposes to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on the following length of road. A 22 metre length of Coronation Terrace, Coxhoe (side to rear Number 23), extending west from its junction with B6291 to enable new housing site access construction works to be undertaken.
An alternative route will be available to traffic via side No. 1 Coronation Terrace, leading to rear Coronation Terrace and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are required from Monday 19/10/2026 and for the duration of the works anticipated to be 4 weeks. On occasions, alternative dates for the closure may be necessary and these will be signed on site accordingly.
