ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE A66 TRUNK ROAD (LAYBY AT SEDBURY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A66 Trunk Road in the County of North Yorkshire; to enable kerb replacement works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to start on Monday 26 October 2026 for 4 days, or until completed.
The effect of the Order will be to close, between 8pm and 6pm, the layby adjacent to the A66 eastbound carriageway approximately 440 metres east of Moor Road Junction.
Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibition (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works, or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). The Order comes into force on 25 October 2026 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
