TRUNK ROAD –
WARBLINGTON INTERCHANGE
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

Notice is hereby given that National Highways Limited intends to make an Order on the A27 Trunk Road in the County of Hampshire under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to prevent incursion into works being undertaken by contractors working on behalf of Hampshire County Council.

The effect of the Order would be to authorise the overnight closures of all slip roads leading to and from the A27 at Warblington Interchange (A259).

These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake carriageway repairs on the roundabouts at Warblington Interchange, and all associated works. It is expected that the works would last for approximately 13 days starting on or after Monday 26th October 2026. The overnight closures would take place between 20:00 and 06:00 hours.

The Order would come into force on 24th October 2026 and continue for 18 months, expiring when the works are complete.

Traffic affected by the closures would be diverted using the A27, A259 and Local Authority roads. The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
