What is happening?
TRAFFIC ORDER
On 28/09/26, Angus Council made The Angus Council (Eastbank, Brechin) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting) Order 2026, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, so that works for Scottish Water may be carried out. The Order will come into force on 05/10/26 from which date it is anticipated that the work will last for a period of nine days. However, the maximum duration in terms of the Act is 18 months. The effect of the Order is to prohibit the driving and waiting of vehicles on Eastbank, Brechin from a point 60m or thereby south-east of its junction with A935 Panmure Street in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 60m or thereby. The alternative route for vehicular traffic is via A935 Panmure Street, A935 Southesk Street and Eastbank, Brechin. The reverse route applies. Access for pedestrians, emergency vehicles and vehicular access to properties will be maintained. Full details of the Order are available at www.angus.gov.uk/trafficorders.
