ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

U8106 SNODS EDGE JUNCTION TO SHOTLEYFIELD JUNCTION SHOTLEY FIELD

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U8106 Snods Edge Junction to Shotleyfield Junction from its junction with C261 South Snods to Snods Edge heading in a northwards direction for its entire length in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 19th October 2026 until the 30th October 2026.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 19th October 2026 until the 23rd October 2026 between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 30th October 2026.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via C261, C263 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Total Resources to install duct in carriageway and verge. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

B6295 B6305 JUNCTION TO FOLLY LANE JUNCTION LANGLEY-ON-TYNE

(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the B6295 B6305 Junction to Folly Lane Junction from its junction with B6304 Stublick to Branchend heading in a northerly direction for a distance of 850 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 26th October 2026 until the 16th April 2027.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 26th October 2026 until the 6th November 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 17:30 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 16th April 2027.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via B6304, B6305 and vice versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – (WAITING, LOADING & PARKING PLACES) (MAP BASED) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2024

VARIATION ORDER 67 (TRO 101_67)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council, in exercise of the powers conferred under sections 1 to 4, 32, 35, 45 and 46, 61 and 64 (as appropriate) and Part IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other powers so enabling, intends to make the above-named Order.

The effect of the Order, if made, will be to vary the “Northumberland County Council (Waiting, Loading & Parking Places) (Map Based) Consolidation Order 2024” by introducing ‘no waiting at any time’ parking restrictions on sections of Church Road in Wylam.

The restrictions can also be viewed in map format, as the maps form part of the map-based schedule to the Order. B6309 STOCKSFIELD TO MOWDEN HALL CROSSROADS STOCKSFIELD C253 BYWELL

TO OVINGTON JUNCTION OVINGTON (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use of vehicular traffic on the following section of roads and to hereby bring into force a speed restriction on the following section of roads in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 5th October 2026 until the 22nd January 2027.

Road Closure:

B6309 Stocksfield to Mowden Hall Crossroads

B6309 Stocksfield to Mowden Hall Cross Roads from its junction with C253 Bywell to Ovington Junction heading in a southerly direction for a distance of 680 metres.

It is expected that the road will be closed from the 5th October 2026 until the 11th December 2026, and that the road will be closed at all times.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the B6309, A69, A68, A695 and vice versa.

Speed Restriction:- (60mph down to 40mph)

C253 Bywell to Ovington Junction Ovington

A speed restriction will hereby further be in force which will restrict the speed of all vehicular traffic from 60mph down to 40mph and no person shall drive their vehicle in excess of 40mph on the C253 Bywell to Ovington Junction from its junction with B6309 Stocksfield to Mowden Hall Crossroads heading in an easterly direction for a distance of 60 metres and B6309 Stocksfield to Mowden Hall Crossroads from its junction with C252 Bywell to High Barns Junction heading in an easterly direction then a southerly direction for a distance of 600 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The speed restriction will be in force at all times in order to maintain public and workers safety. The speed restriction is to warn motorists that there are workforce on the road and blind spots on the road.
